    I go to Avon Schools. They have replaced the older Thomas buses with the newer Propane Visions and a few Propane CE’s. There is still a handful of the All American Bluebirds in the fleet, I ride one of them

    I know these busses probably did not have kids in them, but some of the busses didn't even fully stop, didn't even have their door open long enough to hear anything coming, and some weren't stopping between 15 and 25 feet away from the nearest rail it seems. but it is nice to know that these drivers at least look before crossing unlike other places where they just barrel across without stopping, looking, or listening.

    Oh wow🙊as a Driver Trainer, this video was very disturbing. All drivers had no regards as to really LOOKING and LISTENING to see if a train was coming or not😡 In the State of Texas, we are required to stop no closer than 15ft and no further than 50ft from the track. Then you are to pull your parking break, put it in neutral, turn off all noise, open driver window, and open the service door. Some only yielded and had the door open before the tracks riding with it open. That’s a big no no! Who trained these drivers😩

    • @kyle1021
      @kyle1021 Před 5 lety +5

      This is how I learned in Texas. Its funny though cause the last time I went over railroad tracks was for my cdl test. There's none in my area of the district.

    • @nowhere2471
      @nowhere2471 Před 4 lety +5

      I think this is a thing in the midwest...Ive seen a lot of drivers in Indiana do this. Not sure what theyre trained to do. The buses at my school don't have parking brakes. They just have a park on the gear selector.

    • @michelesmith4478
      @michelesmith4478 Před 4 lety +3

      After shutting down all noise the driver would be able to hear for on coming trains and by opening door as well as drivers window it allows them to see more clearly for any moving trains.
