Use a scrapper on the windscreen takes 1 minute 😂 Looks a great car for long hauls but it’s no weekend fun car 👍 Loving the auto full beam technology ❤️

Thanks very much for your comprehensive answer to my question. Glad you are having a good wireless ACP experience. I’m just waiting for manufacturers to implement the dual screen map support that comes with iOS 13 and then I will pull the pin. Currently only the latest Renault Clio has driver display turn directions that arrived in iOS 9 so I might have a bit of a wait !

Good review. Liked all the question and answers. Could you, or maybe other posters, tell me how well the loaded SQ8 would do off road, and especially on bad winter roads in ski country during big snow storms (The best days to ski so gotta be able to get there and back each day)? And maybe how well it would do compared to the loaded Q8? Clearly they would do well on good roads in the summer, but these are supposed to be suv's after all, and I need the larger variety of capabilities. Thank you

Peter...late watching tonight. A superb film again and as you say, maybe too big for the use I would have but another film on the Porsche Macan S/GTS and Range Rover Sport P400E Autobiography Sport (or better the 5.0L SVR!) would be good! Interesting about traffic sign recognition because both my LR and Mercedes can read signs intended for side roads where the the road splits off at an angle...also it picks up vandalised ones so a 30 modified to “80” and I have had it read that incorrect speed! Again..Good Work! Richard😎😎😎😎😎

The matrix headlights on the S/Q8 are way beyond what the previous generation (I had the S5 with matrix) was capable of. The Q8 has the best lights of any car I've ever driven, hands down. It's also the scariest to park (although somehow shrinks when you're actually driving it).

Saw one of these in Australia last night... could have been a Urus by any other name, which graphically proves the point that the Lambo is utterly redundant.
Great review, absolutely love this. Friend of mine is buying one of these instead of a URUS because it’s far better value.

Great video Peter! It will be interesting to see how the SQ8 does sales wise. It’s still a shame all the new S models (upwards from the S4) are diesel with fake exhausts. Wish they’d just put a V6 in the S and the V8s in RS models.

Petrol Ped obviously it’s my humour but initially it was at management meeting 25 years for Dixon’s
A female manager who was devoid of humour or personality was grilling as all about poor sales etc
She had a rolled up label stuck to her skirt she said two secs guys and pinged it off with her finger and I said hey if you want as to leave while u flick the bean!! even she laughed.So months later when gaming online first started I couldn’t get Scott Watson for a username as it was in use and after numerous attempts by adding numbers onto my name I gave in stuck beanflicker in and the rest is history..,
I think i would want to park that away from everyone else in Supermarket Car Park Pete, I only wish they would make BIGGER parking spaces .

WOW, you answered my exact question. I have a deposit on a Macan GTS for $85k. I was having second thoughts and wondered about the SQ8, but it is considerably more at $101k. So Macan GTS and more cash in your pocket would be your choice?
American non-diesel version has 500HP tho, would that change your mind?
Yeah definitely a RS6 over the SQ8 but I wouldn’t sniff at the RSQ8, that thing like RS6 is a beast and has more aggressive looks to go with it.

If I was going to be picky I would say the Porsche had a substantial reflection of the dashboard and everything on its top in the windscreen due to the rake of the glass. I know this would get on my nerves, so I won`t be buying one as I`m a Pensioner and its a bit rich, also I could probably get into one, but not necessarily get back out, so I am crossing it off my wanted right list now!!!

It's definitely a vehicle worthy of consideration, but I still think the rear slope is too compromising. You have a massive vehicle, but is compromised on luggage space. I'm a BMW man so I'd stick with the X5, or probably more realisitically the X3. As far as all the screens go, I think they've gone overkill on information, but that's just a modern cars in general, so not bashing Audi. It has become a distraction. having all that information in the car definitely takes away from where your attention should be IMO.
Some people are so lazy ,can't even be bothered getting a scraper out before trying to defrost the screen

I'm all for tech, but when those matrix LEDs fail and you have to pay literally thousands to replace them (for headlights!), you won't think they are so amazing. I'd rather manually switch high beams.
