I have had a few request to show how a butterfly works. This particular butterfly valve has a ductile iron body with a nickle plated disk and buna seat. This type of butterfly valve is used in lower pressure applications.
The concept of a butterfly valve is very simple. You have a stem the rotates the disk open and closed. A butterfly valve can be positioned in various ways used to regulate pressure. They are very straight forward. There are various types of butterfly valves but this one is a more common and cheaper type.
I hope this video was helpful. Please leave a comment with any questions or if you would like to see a certain type of valve disassembled. Stay tuned and please subscribe for more valve videos. Thank you watching.

Hello. Thank you for the reply. So there are 2 different types of wafer end connections. You have wafer with notches and then you have wafer with alignment holes. The holes you are referring to is the wafer with alignment hole style. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
