I love how Venom hasn't been a straight-up villain in literally decades, but he gets tossed in that role in nearly every single game he's in.
Funny enough Ultimate Spiderman got the closest to how Venom is supposed to be. He's not a straight up villain, just not perfectly in control until he eats Parker's Carnage. After that he's just after revenge for what happened to his father at the hands of Trask.
Pretty sure he got a minor villain role in superior spider-man
What about both Venom movies? Eddy Bock in that movie is more of a Saint then Tony Stark or Thor in their movies.

I don't think so, most of spider games that came out after 80s have large issues with graphics, especially spider man 3.
I love playing as venom but we need more carnage.
You can't have a carnage game without a Venom game (unless you're TASM 2..), and most Spider-Man games are one-offs, so they never get to carnage
@@Steamlazer Hopefully this series sticks around long enough to get there, it seems to be a great money-maker for Sony and Insomniac, so I don't see it stopping realistically.

5:09 that death scene is just sleazy, seriously, as venom, he can just like literally walk away from that. With Eddie inside, venom can just heal that impalement and they would come back up like if it’s nothing, that’s just a sleazy death right there, I was hoping for more of the explosion scene from the movie.

At the time this game was made, there were still thoughts that there would be a fourth movie and treiarch would make a 4th game to go with it. As early as the first game, the tie-ins have established their own universe. This "death" may have been meant to be something Eddie can walk away from so he could appear in the sequel game that didn't happen.

One of my few gripes with Web of Shadows was how Spidey's symbiote looked different from Venom's. Venom's was more of a blue tent, which looked way more cooler and polished than Spidey's purple tent.

That's what they were going for. In the original cartoons, even some of the old comics, Spider-Man, whenever he wore the black suit, had a blue tint on it to define the muscles and character design, while Venom had a purple tint, my guess was to put more of a visual difference between black suit Spider-Man and Venom, which makes more sense in Web of Shadows when a strain of the Venom symbiote decides to latch onto Spider-Man.
Ultimate spiderman was a favourite, spiderman 3 was sick on ps2, web of shadows was so sick. I remember with web of shadows being this huge hype for it; like the trailer playing Beethoven at the start, having the wolverine venom appearing was huge. Such good times. The app for your phone of spiderman was sick as. The graphics of games have really come a long way since I was a kid. Remember spiderman 3, web of shadows and friend or foe being on the shelves in the video store.
I want a venom game that has similar mechanics to Prototype. Imagine that for a minute.
Ultimate Spiderman for the Gameboy Advanced had similar mechanics to prototype, with some obvious stuff that's different. Look into it

Oh man imagine if they make him take over the city and have a badass looking transformation like he did in webs of shadow that would be insane.
I grew up with PS1 and 90s cartoon Venom with his deep, gurgling, and sinister voice. So I'm super hyped that Marvel Spider-Man 2 venom sounds a LOT like he did in the PS1 game

I think it says a lot that Spider-man PS1 may still be one of his better apperances.
Some of the voice acting and dialog in that game is almost shockingly good for a late 90s early 2000s video game, but Venom is like cream of the crop in that game.
Insomniac needs to give Venom his own game.

In Spiderman 2 videogame when Peter and Miles "kills" Venom, they should make a post credit scene with the symbiote still alive crawling to another city, thus opening up Venom's story to have his own video game as an anti-hero with Eddie Broke

I liked the venom video game role he was in; Spider-Man 2000, Spider-Man 3, Marvel nemesis rise of the imperfects, Marvel ultimate alliance, and Ultimate Spider-Man. I can't wait too see the new venom game character on Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and see what his power's would be like, I just wish there was a venom video game based on the movie with Tom Hardy in it. That would be the most awesome venom video game anyone would buy or play ever not just to be on PS5, but PS4 and Xbox 360.

VENOM is definitely one of my favorite marvel chatacters. And for that reason I'm glad they have made him a anti-hero instead of a full on villain. Now I don't have to worry about him dying instantly or have the problem of I love them but they need to die. Anyone alse have that feeling with a character.

Sick. Although the Ultimate Spider Man one Peter really just kept saying “my head…it’s killing me!” like sheesh buddy we got that the first time.
I prefer the bassy, deep voice 4 venom at the end as opposed 2 the higher pitched ones in previous Spider-Man stories
still waiting for them to make a movie about Knull so we can see the creation of venom. I'd love that. I'd love to see Knull make the symbiote dragons and id love to see Disney ruin that story lol. id still watch it either way. The Avengers, venom and knull in 1 movie would be epic.

Wow.. this franchise has had a LOT of side scrolling Beat ‘em ups.. guess I never realized since most of them came out before I had a console or emulator that could play them.
(I *DID* get to play the DS version of Web of shadows though.. Now THAT was fun.. a little Grindy the first time through, but lots of fun after that)

Well, you missed the fact that there's a gwenpool mission in Lego Marvel Super-Heroes 2, you got to nueva york, find Agent Venom, do his mission, go to oscorp, fight mumies, and you go to pink circle, and you can play as Carnage and Venom(w/ Ultimate Venom)
