It was very nice of her to acknowledge the level of our Jasmine Paolini. From the get-go I thought that there would be no chance for Jasmine, but she definitely put in her best tennis, and as an Italian I am very proud of her. It was a good match overall, even if the level of Iga just made it seem so easy and seamless for her to win it 😊😊

Mah io penso che avrebbe perso lo stesso ma avrebbe dovuto cercare di " sporcare" di piu la palla. Alzare le traiettorie cercando di allontanarla dalla riga di fondo, provare qualche smorzata e servire meglio soprattutto con kick alti sul rovescio bimane e anche giocare qualche back in piu'. Insomma lei ha provato a giocare di ritmo e a fare a pallate con questo mostro ma nessuno puo' vincere di ritmo contro questa Swiatek. Con un gioco vario come quello di Muchova l'anno scorso ci sarebbe stata piu' partita. Anche se poi ha perso lo stesso ma 6 4 al terzo pero' non 6 2 6 1. Comunque tanto di cappello al torneo che ha fatto. Mi stupisco che uno come Furlan non le abbia chiesto di provare a cambiare qualcosa dopo il 6 2 iniziale.

Just look at the past #1 champions they weren’t models! Some had more beauty features than others & also some model off the tennis court! Swiatek is a very plain looking player! Her hair has no special shape in fact the less fuss the better is the way Swiatek looks like she likes it! We don’t have to like it but it’s her style & that’s all that matters! Swiatek isn’t going to play tennis forever most Champions will play in their Thirties or Forties if she’s lucky & her body holds up! At the speed Swiatek is going it’s anyone’s guess! All you can say to all her fans enjoy watching Swiatek playing tennis as long as you can because we know these great champions don’t play forever!

Iga developed into one of the best female tennis players ever existed. Not only is she an amazing player but also an intelligent, humble, and beautiful young woman. She's getting better in answering sometimes really stupid questions. Why does a journalist think she should share examples of her being a perfectionist off the court? Perhaps he doesn't know much about tennis. I think Iga will win many more tournaments, especially on clay and quickly learn how to win on other surfaces. She dominates women tennis. It will be very difficult for her. She needs to improve her footwork as well as her volley shots as Wimbledon is very fast court. Graf has won there 7th times because she had the best footwork in the tennis games in those days (she even beat in two sets the No 1 player Monica Seles in 1992).

@@falcon8090 You don't need a good volley to win Wimbledon anymore. She needs better serve (both 1st and 2nd) and more stability on the forehand, maybe some adjustment to make the grip shorter for grass.

@@friv2000 I only watched the highlights but for Osaka to compete like that against the clear number one on clay shows Osakas capacity to reach Igs’s level having played so few matches.I’ve also noticed that the women who reach number one have unique first names, Martina Hingis, Martina Navratilova are the only two off hand that had same first names and Hingis was named after Navratilova. Have , Chrissie, Tracy,Billie Jean, Evonne, lindsey, Serena, Venus, Iga, etc.
