I have an older 445 that is having the same problems as that one and your informative style and attention to detail will help me tremendously when I attempt the repair. I sharpen my chains in a very similar manner as you do, however I learned through trial and error and a few ruined chains. Thanks for sharing your knowledge in making a great video.
This video was just what I was looking for. The close up angles were great and took away any questions I had about replacing the carburetor on my 445. Thanks so much
Excellent video, took my 445 apart about a couple of months ago. About a month ago finally ordered my parts. Could not figure out how to attach the throttle cable until I watched this and looking further I discovered there is three holes in the floor of the carburetor compartment and the throttle cable feeds thru the front one the long hose goes thru the middle one and the carburetor fuel feed goes thru the one closest to the throttle grip handle duh! Now I just need to get some fresh mix and hopefully I can get it running again. Your laying the choke and filter plate to the side and not removing clued me into the fact that I had routed the kill and primary harness wrong also. Thanks for taking the time to provide good camera angles.
I let my 445 set for a few years and now it isn't getting fuel. Bulb is stiff. I couldn't figure out how to get the carb out and pulled the whole dang thing apart and still couldn't figure out how to get the carb out. This video helped me a bunch, thank you!
Excellent video. My chainsaw wasn't running. Still not running. I have spark. Guess I'll replace the carburetor next. Though it was very instructional, I appreciate it!
It took me yrs to figure out hand filing...my echo cs400 i hand file all the time same with my 372xp...but a clamp n file gives me accuracy when i have time.
