    With a lot of Propagandhi songs, it takes me a few listens to fully grasp the awesomeness. The awesomeness flood gates of this song just opened the fuck up for me.

    Propagandhi gave us this song and a majority of us listen to it and may not fully understand it. We're all here on this planet and we think of ourselves as individuals. However, there's way more to this "life" than any of us know. We're all connected and we don't realize it. Our souls are all connected. And together, we are part of an infinite consciousness. You, my friends, are God and you don't even know it yet.
    It's absolutely true that the unifying principle of the universe is Love.

      I must recognize that Failed States is probably their album that really needs to grow on you a lot compared to others, a bit like Victory Lap.
      Failed states is just... Relentless and brutal. Too chaotic for me at first for me to just make an idea of it because I was mentally saturated, but now I really start to see its charm.
      Potemkin city limits and even Supporting caste were easy enough to get into.
      How to clean is good if you need to have a big smile and forget about shitty stuff and Less talk and Today's empires are both great if you want to piss on shitty senseless stuff around you.

      ITS ONLY THE BEST!
      ...POWERFUL...INSPIRING...RIGHTEOUS
      THEY BROKE THRU THE FIRMAMENT WITH "SPECULATIVE FICTION"....ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER WRITTEN.
      I MEAN....THEY PUT THAT BAR SO FKN HIGH BY ANYBODY'S STANDARD IT SEEMED INSURPASABLE, AND YET THE PROCEEDING BUCKETS OF MUSICAL GOLD THAT FOLLOWED HAVE CONTINUED TO SHINE BRIGHTLY, QUENCHING OUR GROWING CHRONIC THIRST FOR AWESOME AND REAL.

    There is no you there is no me there is all and that is all. Propagandhi is all around one of the best music bands ever. Great riffs, great lyrics, great everything. Met Tod when he played in I Spy, who is another phenomenal group, and he is just a great person. Looked up to Jesus H. Chris since 1993, one of my inspirations that got me to start playing guitar. Jord is the best drummer to ever play basic beats on a basic kit but not sound like it what so ever. Propagandhi fo life!

    Look up Ayahuasca ceremonies and learn about what people experience. I've yet to experience it, but just reading about and watching documentaries on it, my mind and thoughts are consumed by this.

    I simply cannot believe one of the greatest punk bands (in my opinion) is still making music! I love how they're not so generic-styled punk rock like Bad Religion and Rise Against, but they're not as hardcore as Black Flag or Minor Threat. Their music and lyrics are both intelligent and it works remarkably! (No disrespect to the other bands I listed).

      Possibly. As with many latter Propagandhi songs, as with many poems, it is likely about more than one thing. It's a deep song.

      Corey Wayne I was thinking DMT . It sounds an awful lot like many reports of experiences with it. Maybe it's a profound coincidence but man does it feel like that is what's being described from the diligence I've done on it...I haven't wanted to try any "new" psychotropic substances until DMT was brought to my attention. I might be on a vision quest to experience it.

    • @AEgamesFtw
      @AEgamesFtw Před 9 lety +6

      It's about DMT. The DMT molecule is a "Duplicate key" which crosses the blood-brain barrier and fits our Serotonin receptors and stimulates the 5ht2a and 5ht2b sub-receptors, "Throwing the floodgates open on a raw datasphere of pure informatrion." The song goes on to describe the effects of psychedelics like DMT. It's not really possible to understand unless you've ever taken Shrooms, DMT (by itself or in Ayahuasca) or Mescaline.

    • @SBb374
      @SBb374 Před 7 lety +1

      Everyone loves the 'psychotropic drug' theory. I believe Hannah is making at best a passing reference to some substance. The meaning of this great song is that all forms of life, from humans, to insects, to plants are nothing more than appendages of one life. He describes the biological process of how this profound epiphany occurs to him. Primordial flow across the blood brain barrier...

    lol. 1999?? there are bands that have been around since the 60s and are still going, what does that have to do with anything? If a band is actually a punk band, they can't exactly be generic... Rise Against are definitely not a terrible band. But when a "punk" band does things like endorse a shoe company and release their own shoe called the "Rise Against Vegan Shoe" and play their videos on muchmusic all the time, are they really punk rock?... either way, they have nothing on Propagandhi.
