How is the 2017 Audi S3 like to drive? (POV)

- Hey guys, back again with another video. This time testing out my new GoPro on a countryside hoon in the S3. Video was inspired by Vehicle Virgins PoV drive videos as you can tell haha!
Overall came out pretty well, apart from a couple of glitches here and there.

For real.
Been driving my S3 for just over a month. 2,000 miles mostly motorway and the best fuel efficiency I've achieved is 46mpg on comfort mode. Granted this was mostly a 50 mile run without slowing down much and 65-68mph. Given the number of miles I do I need to keep fuel efficiency a factor. After 1,000 miles I noticed a drastic improvement in the mpg and I can do almost 450miles on a full tank.

Hi there TRH. Enjoyed that one, all the sounds are quite familiar. Being an older bloke(!!) I usual change up a gear in my S3 when the engine is not at such higher revs. It produces a richer, deeper purring sound that still sounds good. Don't know why I ordered the Bang and Olufsen system though, don't have it on that often as the car sounds just great!!!😄 All the best, Bro
Hey Ian, I know exactly the sound you're talking about, it's great isn't it! I get a similar sound when low speed crawling in D, especially when it stays in 2nd gear. Sounds very good indeed!

Those backroads round earlswood are the best, take a left down the road at 4.25, there is a little tiny bridge where you can get air if you're trying hard enough.....

Thanks bro, yeah gonna do a like and dislike video set soon defo. Running costs like fuel efficiency theres a full vid on my channel, should give a good idea. It basically ranges from 15-22mpg locally for me.
The uk is full of speeding hot hatches, most of the kids in my area - Asian guys, speeding like 60 in 30 zones in s3s and Golf Rs. Scaring everyone and anyone. Perfect channels for them to subscribe too - MashAllah.

My previous car was an A3 sport back with a quattro suspension. Although it had many good points the driving comfort wasn't one of them. The chassis was very rigid and you felt every bump in the road . What's your honest opinion of the S3 driving experience (comfort of drive) ?

i took a audi s3 ,golf r and type r for test drives i bought a 17 focus rs which i love,where i live audi,honda,ford have their main dealers all next to each other.
I love the Focus RS, really wanna have a go in one!

Just realised where you are I grew up in knowle / Solihull used to thrash these roads as a kid never in cars like this unfortunately more like 1.1 106 and 1.2 clios lol moved to Cheshire 10 years ago we've got some good roads but not as good as these
Hi a drove a 2016 golf r last nyt dsg and when i went from a stand still at the lights i went from foot and the brake to the hard on the gas pedal theres like a throttle lag like it takes a second or two before anything happens do you get this in ur s3 av heard its in all the dsg cars the throttle response isnt gd?
Iv had that with my s3 takes a second for the Quattro to kick in doesn’t it.. maybe Quattro & gearbox needs oil change

About 60% of the time sometimes more, got an efficiency video on my channel if you wanna know more. In this video it did like 14mpg, terrible basically but it was fun!

Thing you'll find is the S3 learns how you drive. So over time, it will keep the revs higher before changing gear. Quite clever.
Didn't know that, I drive majority of the time in manual but that is very cool indeed!

Yeah got some similar cars lined up!
Do town driving. How it handles over bumps etc. Real life practicality. Overtakes? Show pulling power. Launch control at traffic lights stay under 30 tho ;) best options to get when spec ing the car. Colours, sepang blue? Insurance for under 25s? Insurance for you etc. Other cars you looked at and why you never got them and got the s3.

actually the best sounding 2Liter 4cylinder is the CLA45 and A45.
I would like to see a proper launch, put the car in dynamic and dsg in S and disable ESP traction, hold the brake with your left and press the gas all the way down with your right, till 4k then let go of the brake while your on the gas.

RS3 has a lot more things such as engine sound, more power, brakes etc. Gonna aim to do a video on the new 400ps RS3 when it comes out.

+Nuno N I've mentioned many times I'm talking about the exhaust note from the outside, there's no soundaktor at play there. My windows are open most of the time.

I like the hatchback S3, looks aggressive all around, and much practical, but we only have the sedan version here in China, and the Golf R is even more expensive than the S3, 😂
