- Cutting 16 foot 4x4s out of cottonwood.
This mill is 11 years old(2003) with over 8000 hours on the meter. It cuts like the day I got it and gives me very little grief as far as repairs go. I made several modifications over the years(air debarker in/out control, hydraulics work in any position as opposed to just either end, and replaced the pulley on the 190 amp alternator with a smaller one to get more hormones when the mill is at idle(hence the squeeking in the video). This mill has supported me and my family for 11 years( main source of income). After running it all these years. the only fault I can find with the unit is I wish that the up/down and hydraulics were faster. The 8 cuts I made in this log took around 1 and 2/3rds minutes yet the log was on the mill for at least 5 minutes.
That’s awesome. That machine is a monster!!
Something so satisfying watching that machine work. I want one of those.
Very Cool ! Nice setup for the rollers on the board return :)
Nice set up - I guess it has paid for itself a few times over in eight years.
Beautiful set up! I'm jealous!
Pretty slick operation you have got there...That is what living the dream looks like. Getting to wake up and enjoy what you do everyday that's living
That mill is a beast
The ending was the best. You're like Tadaa!
You look like a happy man - doin' what he likes to do. Good for you.
Oh that’s the way to mill a log! 👍🏼
I like your setup... I'm always looking for ideas.

Damn that was cutting fast I have never seen a mizer cut that fast wow.
No doubt about it, that cant had a lot of real stress within its grains, which obviously was released with each 4"
Looks like a really nice Saw Mill

I like the grain in the wood. I know you were on the green chain! operator? and the spectacular ending! (Maybe NOT a VW powered) {awesome weather cover}
