    YOU ARE THE BEST EVER. I have searched for HOURS to find out how to power a 5v DC motor that my arduino couldn't supply current to without more mA.
    THANK YOU!

    good video I ask you a question is it possible to control an electromagnet through an arduino but using pulses instead of the classic turn off and turn on as if it were a led

    Hello ! I used a 12V / 2A power supply adaptor, conected to solenoid and controled by Arduino keypad, but my solenoid is only making pulse latch, I don't know why it doesn't keep as long is connected. Directely conecting the solenoid to 12V power adapter it also pulse latching , it doesn't keep the latch as long as is connected. Any ideea ?

  • @jiratpattaragultawee6560

    What is the device that connects to a power source and which power source did you use? I didn't see any part in the video so I'm very curious

    Would a voltage regulator between the battery and the relay help with battery life or performance at all?

  • @rashad3726
    @rashad3726 Před 5 lety +1

    why didn't you use a transistor instead of the relay, it would take less space , power and less cost ?

    • @ImJustRon
      @ImJustRon Před 4 lety

      A transistor wouldn't be able to handle a larger voltage like this.

    I used 8 batteries of 1.5v to create 12v. Didn't work. It only works with 12v adapter. So I guess battery doesn't have enough amp for it.

    • @omsure4332
      @omsure4332 Před 5 lety

      The current rating might be less of the adapter
      Mostly should be 12v 0.43amp.
      The above rating power adapter works fine with my lock
      Hopefully it will work with ur lock too

  • @Autom_te

    Hello, does the solenoid have any force when deactivated? or is it only held out by a spring. I guess I'm wondering if it works like a deadbolt or just as a regular lock.

    • @MakerTutor101
      @MakerTutor101  Před 5 lety

      Hi,Thank for watching.
      Normally, the lock core will be extended from the body.When you power it (12V), it will pull the lock core. Shrink into it
