Exactly. Most of the food they eat are gross only because they are eaten plain and unseasoned. When you use them in a recipe they becomes a lot more palatable.
@RadenWA Definately. I mean, what is an anus? Basically, it's a muscle. "Muscle" doesn't sound as disgusting as "anus", doesn't it? And blood can be used in many recipes, like in sauces or soups and you can make sausages and other types of dishes out of it.
Fish eyes, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure you can cook them in a soup or something. I have zero clue about balut, though. I believe it's a snack in Asia?

Thing is, they don't taste bad to begin with. Rhett and Link are always too caught up on the IDEA of the food, they can't experience it without preconception of it being bad.
There is a filipino dish called dinuguan and it's made of pork blood. I recommend it somewhat and i genuinely believe that westerners would like it if it is done correctly.

As a Filipino who LOVES balut, I'm glad they put the disclaimer and mentioned that there are people who enjoy balut and they respect them (i feel validated HAHA) but also! You should try the yolk with salt, tastes really good!

I'm actually mildly confused at their response to the yolk. If they didn't get any of the duck, the yolk itself is just creamy and a bit more savory than a chicken yolk. I'm really confused by their visceral reaction to it...
