I personally like the og look of SC more, could be nostalgia but I also feel like the pixelated look is more stylized
@@enozlliks7794bro it looks like it has more graphics I think it has to be with our imagination when we were younger we could add the detail that we couldn’t see because of the low resolution and end up in feeling the graphics more alive
The remastered graphics look amazing for T and P but the old style looks better for Zerg
The sc2 Zerg graphics are so shit the scary muscular monsters look like flimsy plastic candy

The map is Fantasy. No other maps are as unusually/extremely positionally asymmetric as Fantasy, so it clicked when the bottom right was scouted.
You can rapidly click on Terry's portrait to "follow" him as he moves, this is what I did while watching replays on the original BW.
The microwave is funny, but I think it would be better for having your logo on there, or text stating which players are playing the match.
Also, this map is literally 4 different maps frankensteined into one, which explains why it's so unusual compared to other maps.
Seeing Boxer replays at his prime would be awesome 😎

Flash is the GOAT and played at a more proficient and competitive meta but Boxer will forever be my favorite player out of sheer creativity and micro strats.

I got so caught up in the music and all that in the remaster I forgot what the game used to look like! I can't believe my friends and I would play split screen on the N64 on a fifteen inch TV.

Damn I got so used to the remastered this brings me back. My parents worked from home and upgraded their computers every few years, giving the older ones to us kids so by the time I was in 6th grade (2005) we had four in the basement hooked up via LAN. Countless nights my friends, brother, and even my dad (he'd join upstairs from his nicer one) were spent playing BGH just losing our minds. #takemeback

It's crazy how saviOr would never have been supposed to be on par with 2010-2011 kespa players with how much the skill level improved, but online he could keep up with the best with 100-200 less APM than them. Spends 10 minutes 50 supply and 1-2 bases behind vs terran like it's nothing and doesn't fold.

I remember the number 13 door I think, lol. The abandoned rooftops. This is from the ORIGINAL or near original game I believe. Possibly the VERY first one made, other than a nature-based one. Would have to look it up to verify for certain.

This game was a bloodbath. If it was played today it would be insane. It feels like we don't get to this type of lategame, boxing match TvZ very often anymore. The game is a bit more clinical, with knockout blows happening more often.
I played this game in college, and after seeing all the QoL improvements from the remastered version, I don't know how I played it back then!

you can tell both players were ready and knew the map well
key is to maintain center map control, terran held that for most of game but soon as he lost it zerg could flood ling ultra to every base he had except 12 oclock
the key to breaking the center position was dark swarm and also some hydras picking off 1hp science vessels

SC1 only had 1 resolution (640x480), so if it's filling your wide screen, it must be stretched out

There were some astonishing matches on some peculiar maps back then, for example: Hitchhiker, Baekmagoji and Arkanoid. I recommend checking out some games played on those maps. Bisu vs sAviOr on Hitchhiker was decent, if I remember correctly.

I like the classic graphics once in a while. Not as much as I love Carbot, but variety is nice to have in your casts.
Even though I thoroughly enjoyed this and the OG graphics is a fun reminder of how much the remastered improved on things, I still prefer watching the casts in the remastered graphics.

Please find more of these SC1 Brood War matches from long ago. Still love the classic but the remastered has better graphics.
Not sure if it works in Starcraft Broodwar in older versions, you may be able to click on a unit to select them
Then CTRL + C or CTRL +F, but you have to constantly spam it to follow the unit
This hotkey centers the whole camera on the unit

I heard you Falcon about the tanks, but Terran on 2 gases output can't really afford tanks, vessels and upgrades. They gain most of their sustain through irridiates and this is why nowdays meta tanks are completely skip in a SKT terran format. Great cast, have a nice one.
mmm These days Terran take a 3rd quite fast though. And M and M always ends with a huge gas bank. We even see players like JyJ dobble expanding, the moment they can.

A lot of savior replays are lost to time unfortunately. Many just don't work purely to age and others have been deleted from existence because of it being Savior

I thought I would enjoy the old school graphics because I played SC1 since I was ~7-8 years old when it first came out. But.. I'd rather not watch replays in this mode again except for the novelty of the older strategies. once a month maybe? once a quarter? Not once a week.
