This is fantastic watching again..... Thanks for posting.... Bobby was a favourite with Hollywood actors who were great fans along with the rest of us his adoring fans..... Bobby did what he always did best of all, ENTERTAIN AND HOW from the very depths of his own heart and soul.... Bobby Darin is the one of a kind human being filled with heart, soul, a warm charismatic nature, a master of his own destiny, with rich warm vocals that touch you down deep within your heart and soul and a wonderful human being with great humanity...... Booby the genius multi-talented young man with a great singing voice and wonderful actor too..... Bobby saw everyone as equals no matter the colour of their skin.... Bobby a man well before his time who taught many lessons in life that are still being learnt today.... Thanks for the wonderful memories Bobby you helped to change the world, equality for all man kind... YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE TO OUR WORLD BY BEING HERE THOUGH FOR ONLY A SHORT TIME.... YOU ARE MISSED, REMEMBERED AND LOVED FOREVER MORE WAY BEYOND THE STARS AND THE MOON.... I MISS YOU MY FRIEND.... RIP BOBBY DARIN !!
Unlike Liza Minelli, and others like her at that occasion, who were the offspring of big names and never as good as their parents, Bobby Darin did it all on his own, and a terrific talent he was. He could sing, compose tunes, write lyrics, play several instruments and dance a few steps in spite of an ailing heart, which eventually cost him his life. RIP, Bobby, we loved you!
I saw Tony Orlando at the bottom line in the village about fifteen years ago after the show I asked Tony why he didn’t do a Bobby Darin number he said why didn’t you say something when I was on then he said you know me and Sammy went to see him in Vegas and sammy turned to me and said you know Tony that’s one guy I’d hate to follow on stage the sammy Tony was talking about was the great Sammy Davis jr. True story phil Caggiano by the way I saw Bobby at the Copa in 1972 I was just a kid he came out and and everyone around me was comparing him to Sinatra I’ve seen frank many times but no one could touch live I Remember once I had Bobby singing I’ve got you under my skin from his show and one of my kids friend walked in and saw it and said Mr Caggiano who’s that guy doing Sinatra better then Sinatra
