  • In this video, I show you how I am running two trolleys on the same loop without running into each other by using an isolated track set up. If you have any questions on how I’m doing this, please post in the comment section and hopefully I can answer your questions
as always, you can contact me through my email.

Great job. Train layouts are always a work in progress.

I like your video. Thank you. One big possible improvement is to use a microphone because now the sound quality is poor.

Currently, I’m doing everything on my phone but eventually I plan on getting a better recording set up

    Pretty easy. Thanks

It is a lot better this way since you don't need any added accessories like the 153C contactor. I was just looking thru all of the stuff that my dad left me. I found the sheet for the 153c contactor. There the center rail is used for controlling the trains. As for the sections, it is recommended to have a buffer of 3 or 4 sections of track.

I prefer running the wires directly to the track that way I can easily hide the wires but running them under the benchwork

Hi great idea and video, I'd like to do this with Fastrack so the question I have is this. Is the Isolation track section the only section where I should remove the jumper between the two grounded rails? Thanks in advance

You also have to do it in the section that I called the Stop section

Basically, you’re putting an isolated track on each end. In the near future, I’m gonna be doing a video showing how to do it with fast track.

    Hi,
I tried what you done only I made it longer with two isolated track sections, two center track sections, and two stop sections now when testing the track the one train stops at the center section and the other train keeps coming without stopping.

Sounds like a wiring issue. Did you remember to run a wire from the first isolation track to the Stop section? If you get it figured out let me know.

Can this work if you have two of these on both sides of the track?

I’m not sure. If it does, I think you would have to run three trolleys. I was planning on trying it in the near future to see if it works. If so, I’ll post a video.

    Hi,
I'm trying again with running the two trolleys on the same loop my board is 48x96 with Fastrack and my isolated sections are a 036 curve with a 10 inch straight with a 30 inch straight along with another 10 inch straight ending with a 036 curve as the stop and a long 18
guage wire connected from curve to curve. Is there anyway I can send a picture of what my diagram looks like to have you look at it to see if there aren't any mistakes.
Thanks for all your help. 8:13 8:13 8:13

How could this be done using the isolated accessory tracks with fastrak?

    • @Pvilletrains
      @Pvilletrains  Před 8 měsíci

I wish I had some Fastrack but I got rid of all of mine when I switched to tubular, because I would do a video to show how to do this. It’s basically the same set up. You need to pull the connecting pins on the outside rails just as you would using tubular track. The only problem is Lionel does not make plastic pins to replace the metal ones so you’d have to make some of your own. Or not use them at all and just have a blank space there. As long as the rails don’t touch from track to track on each section.
So your first section of track which in the video I referred to as the activation section, would be a regular isolation track. But the last section which I referred to as the stop section would have to have the pins pulled on each of the outside rails at each end. I have a video posted that shows how you can make your own isolation track using Fastrack.

@jimyoung688 do you want to sell your track and what condition are they in and could you give me a list of what you have.
      Thanks

Some of is well used a lot is brand new looking. I also a bunch of O72 switches in various states of condition. I have a ton. I just tore down a 16x 32’ layout.
