Yes, things can get pretty scary here around spring time!! We are in the middle of the country where all the cold and hot come together and clash!! On the edge of what is known as " tornado ally!! Tornadoes, large hail, wind sheers are all part of our weather during spring. We just have to Hold on tight !! And hope for the best. We were both at work when it hit. The Euphorbia will survive, just not so pretty any more. It will have to grow out of it. Replaced the worst panel. Patched the other small holes with pieces of the old panel and silicone caulking. I plan to slowly during the summer replace all the panels. These are 24 years old and are sun damaged. Not clear like when new. The new one is almost like glass. So new will let in more sunshine and be stronger. They are made of polycarbonate, thin, light and strong. Thanks Daz!! I've replaced the panel with the largest hole. The old panels are 24 years old. Guess it's time to start replacing them . The other holes I patched with pieces of the old panel and silicone caulk for now.yes, weather can get pretty scary here sometimes. In the past we have been narrowly missed by two tornadoes. One going over the house and dropped into the woods behind us trimming the trees!! We tried to escape it, but ended up trapped in the road cause a tree fell in front ofcus blocking the road! Thanks!!! Deb takes a lot of pride in her peonies! We try to add a couple a year to her collection. But yes the rains can make the flowers short lived. Oh Blimey Clyde 😬 Not much we can do about hailstones, glass wouldn't have done much better unless it was laminated. I've only got tunnel polythene on mine. Thank glod you're safe though. Love the Opuntia 😎 mine have less buds on this year too 😮🌵🌵
Thanks Ziggy!!! Here in the Ozarks we get some pretty dangerous weather!! We have been narrowly missed twice by tornadoes in the past. One going over the house and dropping into the woods behind us and trimming the trees!! We tried to escape by driving down into the valley below us, but a large tree fell on the road cutting us off!! We had to ride it out in the middle of the road!! But everything came out alright. Repaired the roof today. Replaced one panel with poly carbonate clear panel. Going to concentrate on replacing the roof one panel at a time. It is 24 years old now and I can tell it needs it. Getting sun damaged and more brittle. It was GE Lexon polycarbonate. It has lasted well!! The new panel is Tufftex polycarbonate really good stuff! Just lucky it wasn't worse!! Most of the states in the middle of the country are very prone to tornadoes and large hail.
