only just heard about this now. as a long time hip hop fan - this is sick and needs to be played a lot, loud in places where people will hear it. proper.
@OutlawBebop8 the real music never gets fame why u may ask? cause its to real for the medias perspective.. real hip hop stays underground and real hip hop listeners buy that shit like the media feins buy lil wayne or drake but off that topic.. roc at the nyc rock the bells was banging! he killed it for sure! one love from 905ontario!
Ka, Mach Hommy, Billy Woods, Jae Skeese. Blu, he's from Cali but his work with Exile has an east coast style, he's one the best rappers ever. Griselda.
@cjf93 (cont.) i understand that it is artist like J.Cole, Wale, Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, CyHi Da Prynce, Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, and AB-Soul, some of the popular not all of them are but they pretty out there artist that can rap but the real rap is still being over shadowed i want artist like Don Trip and Freddie Gibbs to be getting famous like J.Cole and Wale to bring hip hop full circle to a better state to be strong like it used to be for every J.Cole its 10 Lil Waynes
@mon3ybagz i agree, if by over and over you mean the beats, and the lyrics at times. the only j cole i like is from the higher learning mixtape volume 2 by fashawn
is it saying that there are no dope emcees anymore? nah, that's stupid. but the reason the sentiment of " no exposure for dope dudes" is echoed constantly is because it's soooo accurate. There are a lot of great dudes, but the focus isn't on them and probably won't ever be. no one's saying anything profound, but that doesn't mean they aren't relevant grievances and shit. it's really sad, and i'm super bummed out that shit is so lackluster these days, fuck it, let people vent a bit you know?
@mon3ybagz not true. im not sure what songs u heard from cole to make u think he is for fake hip hop fans but he got plenty of songs that shows hes a legit mc. check out i get up, can i bus, the storm, killers, simba, grown simba, heartache, playground, losing my balance. hell he did good on that just begun track w/ kweli, mos and jay elect. Sure hes made underwhelming songs like work out, which sounds like everything else out, and is a lil overrated by fans but all in all, he can spit tho.
@cjf93 Hip Hop is in a bad state look at it how i see it remember the 90s Wu Tang Biggie, 2Pac, Big Pun, Big L, Jay-Z, Lil Kim, and Lauryn Hill (when she rapped) ect. and these were the "mainstream" artist right look at today's "mainstream" atist Soulja Boy, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane even Snoop not like he used to be its like the popular aritst had more skills than just making hits like of course Jay-Z still doing it but its like u see what popular hip hop is (cont.)
@caledooper if you just take his DIY approach to the beats, everything, he's not doing this for any reason other than to kill shit for real heads He has already cemented himself as a vanguard for pure shit in suuuch watered down times, and needs to do literally nothing else. his shit just sounds fresh. no need for that "bitch i'm about to blow up" self-assurance. Cole and the like just feel so impure and immature, but with such an air of originality and perceived relevance. it's annoying as fuck
@stoneagerock it's all respect and whatnot, but I see what dude is saying. By no means is Cole completely talent-less, just like by no means isRoc 100% original, but that doesn't make him automatically hip-hop pure and approved. his shit is just kind of empty and uninteresting, things are obviously inflated because the people he associates with are just garbage, but a lot of it is just...flat. roc isn't denying where he got his style from, but he works to transcend being seen as just a student
@OutlawBebop8 tho these albums all better than this 1 imo.. reks - rhythmatic eternal king supreme. black milk -album of the year random axe smif n wessun - monumental
The last verse of this is where his style from Reloaded on grew from.
Roc spitting that last verse over the phone is so cold
One of my favorite songs, the over the phone verse is incredible.
I stay coming back to this song
This beat is luxurious, no other word for it
"AS SOON AS I MEET ME AN OPRAH, IMA NEED A CHAUFFEUR..."
Hes a real poetry..his own stuff n style!!like his rhymes a lot!!

There is no "Upgrade", to G Rap goofy ass.
@OutlawBebop8 its really simple, most people just have no idea how to find good music, so they go with whatever is most heavily advertised...

Little Brother. they're from North Carolina. basically east coast
@MegaHastle I agree. Both of them did it justice. They just used it for different things.

Rucker is street ball, check the And1 tapes, league is NBA, he wants to go mainstream
@mon3ybagz i agree, if by over and over you mean the beats, and the lyrics at times. the only j cole i like is from the higher learning mixtape volume 2 by fashawn

Vast Aire - Mecca And The Ox (Feat. Vordul Mega) used this beat first.
Damn..never knew this! Shout out to Can O!
It's not the same beat, it's just the sample.
