- Had this one laying around for awhile. Wanted to get out a preview. I might do it full band but I'm not totally sure yet. Thoughts?

For those of you who don't know, yes he is using a double bass pedal. And it's on autoplay. And at the end of My Fears Become Phobias, the last song thats played, The drummer of this band uses a different technique when using the double bass pedal where you kick it with your heal then I think slam down or something. But anyway, it on Rockband 2 and Xbox 360. You can create songs when using the 360 and whatever songs RBN posts, 360 gets first.
with every on-disc rb2 song, the in-game character as the vocalist will have their lips moving to the lyrics of whatever song you choose, along with an included character animation for the rest of the band members to go along with bpm for the song. for rock band audition mode custom songs, no animation whatsoever is given

you don't read drum patterns unless your a fucking idiot. And reading music isn't hard. It's a simple chart EGBDF for the lines and FACE for the spaces. Put them together and you get. EFGABCDEF, what comes next? I believe it's G. Man reading music is hard!

@ExpertPlusGuitarHero Bleed's a pretty good example too if you watch the live version of it. As he adds ghost notes to the snare which create a great groove with the polyrhythmic bass.
And of course there's the drum songs out there that are half jazz half metal. (look up Anesthetize live and just watch Gavin Harrison, it's scary how much control he has over the sticks, and for a jazz drummer he has the cleanest double bass technique I've ever seen without using a trigger).
With the character models not actually doing anything, I imagine someone's going to make a joke about posers

why does everybody think that this double bass is impossible to do or people think the guy uses triple pedels lol its called "HEELS UP FLOATING TECHNIQUE" if you sit there and practice everyday and dedicate yourself.....then you CAN do this kinda double bass. Because this shit is NOT impossible to do....its VERY real.
Well a lot of it isn't about just the drums and the vocals. When I only played drums and piano, I thought like you and didn't really like the way it sounds overall, but after learning guitar, I feel like I've gained more of an appreciation, that metal like this is a homage to guitar and the vocals and drums are there to make it sound deeper and more intense. Or at least that's how I seem to view it now.

@xPlatinumKirby Triggers are used on bass drums to allow lighter hits that sound cleaner. He's playing that fast however not hitting the beaters super hard. Go watch blindzor's cover of the song, He mics his bass drum.

First thing you'll notice is that my favorite band is Opeth (AKA. the Godfathers of Progressive Death Metal), along with Cynic, Atheist, Death, Meshuggah, etc. etc.
My favorite band when I was 8 years old was Megadeth, so yes I hate all forms of metal.
Listen to Cynic, Atheist, Meshuggah or Opeth then this. And you'll hear what I mean by rudimentary.

Yeah, but it is possible to get that fast on just double pedals if you use the right technique and exercise your foot / leg muscles enough. It takes a lot of time, but it's possible.
