    It might be expensive for Asia but surely the quality of life is way higher than in Europe and in America. In London you pay way more than what you described and you live in a filthy house full of molds… Public transport here is so expensive you will need a mortgage for that 😂 I would love to have the opportunity to live in such a place like Shanghai 😊

      A ticket from Admiralty Arch to Colindale costed me three pounds. You can travel from Dishui lake to Huaqiao, a 137 km trip for 3 hours by underground with around three pounds. In China price for chicken breast fillet is normally 2 pounds per kg while wings are around 8 pounds per kg. To teach students with spoken English is probably the most common oppunity to live in Shanghai, annual salary would be around $30,000 to $ 40,000 I believe.

    Communications are cheap in Shanghai, for about $30 a month you can have a 1G fiber optic broadband, plus 60-100G of 5G data on your phone, 1,000 minutes of domestic airtime, and a pay TV line.

    Very interesting video Fancie.Compared to the food prices in America the prices you are paying sound crazy! Some of the other things you mentioned sound very expensive also. But, and I hate to say it as an American, you get what you pay for. Shanghai is a beautiful, modern, and safe city. Big cities in America are the opposite of that.

    Hi Fancie, I have been following your videos since the beginning on your journey. As you were moving from one county to another country. This video is a great breakdown on your cost that you must spent. It is a great comparison as well to the cost on things there. Some of your expenses are high, as other ones are cheap. Rent is like the same in different parts of the USA. Your utilities cost is cheaper then here. Your cellphone cost is a lot cheaper as well too. It is a balance of the two as well. Food cost is higher here big time compare to you. Other cost are cheaper here but you have to shop around for them. Your vest was cute that you got. What does it cost for your adventure trips that you take on the weekend?

    • @funfancie
      @funfancie  Před rokem +1

      I definitely agree with your statement Anthony! For my weekend trip in Shanghai, I won't spend that much, may be less than 100RMB I would say (not including shopping though haha)

    rental depends on which area you live, I am paying 9500 for my 2 room apartment, pretty close to city and all my friends said its so cheap.
    biggest expense in Shanghai is Rental, private health care and education
    everything else its a matter of choice.

    • @funfancie

      I believe more than 50% of apartments in Shanghai are pet-friendly so I’m pretty sure you can easily find the one you like. There are plenty of gyms and fitness as well. I think that Shanghai people are pet lovers and most of them taking good care of their health and body. You can hardly find overweight people in this city 😊
