    In Indonesia, if we play speed races, usually we use a modified computer power supply unit as charger, we called that BOMB CHARGED or CHARGE BOMB... using a high voltage output charger to push the battery voltage until 1,65V or more.
    After that quickly put in the car and race.
    The disadvantage of this charger is the battery getting so hot, sometimes we can't hold those batteries using our hands, and the battery only can be use for one or two event.
    Sometimes when it's getting to hot, it will explode.
    Pretty horrible, but that is a MUST for speed in Indonesia...

      This is good feedback. Thank you.

      Probably far easier to use LiPO AA batteries, 3.2V right off the bat

      Sounds a little extreme to risk exploding batteries in order to win. But I guess if it works, it works. 😂

    lods, try to keep your battery cool, put some fan on it while charging at 1500mAh and you will see the difference :) it can go 1.55 or 1.58v, bcuz if the battery heat up, it will stop at 1.50+ or will get full. just try and can you shout out us on the next video lods :)

    1:07 how is it possible that the charging current be 100mA? The minimum should be 200mA...

    Noob question. The batteries are 900. would using the 1500 charge rate ruin the battery life? or is it safe?

    • @Z3NBluster
      @Z3NBluster  Před 2 lety +2

      It does shorten the battery life yes. But not by much. Yes, it's safe. Charge at 500mah overnight before a race is more advisable. But if you need a short top up in voltage 1500 is still safe.

  • @Sunstepa
    @Sunstepa Před 2 lety

    This is nonsence to charge aa with 1500a. You simply killing your batteries. Why just not to buy the li-ion with 1.5v if you need higher voltage?

    • @Z3NBluster
      @Z3NBluster  Před 2 lety

      Because Lithium Ion puts out more than double the voltage and is dangerous when the cars are being raced around children. If your Lithium Ion battery car hits a child in the face when your car flies off the track, guess whose going to be liable. Also, its not 1500A. It's 1500ma.

    • @Sunstepa
      @Sunstepa Před 2 lety

      @@Z3NBluster what? 😁🤦‍♀️ "Its principle is a 3.6/3.7V lithium battery be stepped down to a 1.5V constant voltage output through a built-in circuit module." Use Google next time. 🙃

    • @Z3NBluster
      @Z3NBluster  Před 2 lety +8

      @@Sunstepa Maybe you should look at the context of the use case of the batteries before commenting. These NiMh batteries are being used in an FA 130 type motor in a 1/32 scale Tamiya Mini 4WD slot car. Adding circuits to the car is against the competition rules. Next time before commenting and making assumptions about the use case, perhaps you should do a little research before running your mouth on the internet.

      i try this, but it wont work, because higher motor need higher discharge rate that only ni mh battery can provide. i know this hard way, i put my battery called smart tools usb type c lithium ion 1,5 volt on my light dash motor and it ruined the battery right away.
