A manual gearbox is a good thing!! That is going to be a lovely car after it's had the Rob & Chris treatment!!
It's a shame someone had the accident in the first place but this looks a nice turnaround for you and it'll be back on the road in no time.
Chris "just looking for the locking wheel nut key"....... With a handful of change 🤣
Really miss your Friday video guys, the perfect end to the working week. Any chance you can move the Sat to Fri? 🙏 💛
Totally agree pal ,feel bit let down
Unfortunately not sorry 👍
@@scottcameron9267 let down you having a laugh I just see your other message quiet frankly your message is very selfish we explained in the end of a era video why we dropped down to 2 videos we are entitled to have a life with our families the videos are the same length and nothing has changed in the format that will film nothing. If your not happy with the 2 free videos each week then I’m really sorry to say you won’t be missed being so rude. All the best for the future
@@srukI'm sorry you took it the way you have ,in my message I said don't take it the wrong way as if im trying to slag you guys thats not what i meant, this is just my opinion which obviously means nothing, it's just that I enjoyed your videos so much that you kind of miss them when not as regular, I'll leave it at that pal, didn't think I'd that kind of response from you but hey one of these things, I'm still going to watch them if that's OK
That odometer mistake must really be an input mistake. If the number was 48k instead of 68k it would fit perfectly. 🤷♂️
Wow, what a great looking car, me and my son with help from a friend, have just finished repairing my son's car, none structural damage, and we have loved doing it. It's a million miles away from my proper.job, In the NHS, I'm more involved in the saving people and all that, but today has been very rewarding as well, and found it great, challenging, and relaxing in one go.
Keep up the fantastic work.
I’m not a lover of the new profession looking thumbnails I prefer the old style. I keep scrolling past the videos as they look like everyone else. But I like the new videos. 👍
Rob & Chris I can hear the positive enthusiasm in both your voices stripping the Q5 down. In turn it makes it exciting for us too, so I wish you the very very best with this rebuild, lovely lovely car! 🙏👌
I passed my drivers liceince driving a manual care a Ford Cortina.... love it... then I used to drive a pick up van/truck which had a collan gear shift.. OMG I loved drying that, Now I have a Hyundia ix35 fully auto aircon leather seats, ummm wuldn't change it for anything now lol.Great Vlog guys... My hubby got me onto this channel... just a thought we have in our garage a 260z rebuilding it but hubby had a stroke a few years ago, so its a stand still now, he did have me under there awhile ago getting all the electrics out.... if you ever come to Adelaide South Australia, come and have a look at it..
Nice the way you both get stuck in straight away, no messing around.
Can't believe how happy I am about your good fortune!
You both deserve it!
By the by, manual gear box every time!
Stay warm!
Cracking video Rob & Chris, looking forward to seeing this one finished.
Got to say guys the mics are working a treat👍
Really well done gentlemen, do well, with it. Thank you for sharing.
The sound has well and truly levelled up
The mileage is correct and not incorrect
The vehicle had a flat battery and on the Audi it reverts to a kilometre reading . If it went in for service ( main dealer ) they’d have used VAG to revert it to miles and hence the correction
Hope that helps
Possible Chris would like this for his run around amazing well done guy's looking forward to seeing the rest when it will be as good as new 👍
Another good find, very low miles. 2.0 Tdi motor, manual - nice to drive. Nice S line interior, expensive motor when new, keeps it value too. Nice easy fix , and a real good tickle awaits 👍😎
Good morning Rob and Chris. This is going to be a great series of videos. It’s a nice looking car. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Hope you two are having a bit more time to do family/person stuff. Ged
A nice clean repair this time round as you said just “nuts and bolts” lovely motor. Excellent content.
Great purchase guys and easy, ish, bolt on and paint. Well done. 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice car guys. Glad it's a easy fix for you both. Love your videos.
Great buy Rob, the Q5 will look amazing when done as usual! :D
What a nice motor, can’t wait to see the finished article & crunch those numbers! I’m with you Rob on the “shame it’s not auto” but that’s a personal choice for me, this one will sell immediately of that I have no doubt! I also got the impression Chris liked it a bit to much! Lol. Thanks as always guys, looking forward to the next one! Dave.
Smashing video and may your good luck continue, I always found when you look at a car it speaks to you, you 2 are the salvage whisperers
Awesome buy guys 👍🏻 I think it’s going to be a very quick fix provided all the parts are available, No more than 3 videos I would think 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Another lovely video guys can't wait to see part 2😀👏👏👏👏
Nice looking motor and a nice easy repair. Top work and thanks for the video take care
Lovely job nice quick turnaround , good stuff , good luck guys great video 👍👍👍👍
Awesome video as always guys, I for one as well as many others I’m sure will be very interested in this one once it’s had a touch of your magic.
Timing belt kit is surprisingly reasonable from TPS, don't mess about with aftermarket parts on this. You'll also be surprised how reasonable all the genuine bits are from TPS for this.
We often say it but you really did get lucky with this one. Even the engine escaped damage, just the plastic cover is toast. Looking forward to the next episode on this build. Well done Rob and Chris thanks once again for a cracking video.👍👍
Such a nice car Chris and Rob. Thank you for your effort with the content. Cheers.
Looks like another little bonus this one! Looking forward to the next instalment guys. cheers.😊
another cracking video guys and what a relief its not as bad as it looked under that bonnet and its all bolt on and bolt off parts I'm sure that will be a quick turnaround once it's all finished can't wait to see more keep them coming guys 👍👍👍💯💯💯
That looks fabulous good job that cam belt cover not damaged belt i had one and plastic bit striped belt bent valve exc you and Chris will make a fantastic job of it for sure Phil
A nice Saturday salvage, great video thanks 👍👍👍👍😊
Yeah. Liking the new schedule
Good video guys- nice and straightforward for a change 👍
Hi Rob & Chris, nice buy eh, great content, all bolt on stuff too. Mega lucky with that cambelt and cover, easy for you guy’s to sort this one, what a lovely specced car, will sell easily. Alex.
Hi Rob and Chris I still don't know how u2 keep on doing great videos well I think it's great and thankyou take care both 🙂👍
Just love these Q5 great buy Guys looking forward to more videos 👍👍👍
You two are so methodical and logical !
As the others have said, Chris had a little glint in his eyes 😂 you’re right Rob, nice bit of content, and hopefully part 2 will be on here very soon 👍
Lovely car, and what a nice project. Have a good weekend, everyone.
Thanks for the film. A nice clean and straightforward job by the look of it. Much preferable to the Focus ST3 in the previous film !
Yes, that was lucky to have the cam belt intact. Nice car. Good to witness how quick you can get ready to sell.
Tps for timing belt kit water pumps in there one off them aswell get plastic cover sometimes there cheaper than scrappy for second hand
Chis sounds excited about this Audi Q5 Rob lol 😆 Nice variation on Salvage Rebuilds 😊Chris was 100% about a bit of plastic in that cam belt inner cover as a bit came out when Chris fired it up 😆 Be a great fix for the channel guys 👍🏻
What an easy repair, would be a great one to buy, well done chaps 👍😉💪
Great vid, guys! Should be a nice quick turn around.
Nice car as long as you don’t drive it inside the M25 from September 😢
Another "Sale of the Century !" Well done Rob. Would be terrific if you could get all the panels in that colour .
Superb video gents.Another piece of cake easy mend and out of the door.
What a lovely bit of kit
Rob - I need to check “The interweb” (often thought of as a slightly sarcastic reference to the Internet, implicating those who do not understand how it works)…. Mmmm map reading/directions/basic geography (up north) skills come to mind!! 🤣🤣I can see one of you keeping that car! - dead chuffed for you both! 👍👍
Nice motor that one, huge engine always amazes me how they manage to package all that gear into such a small space.
A nice purchase guys 👌 mega lucky with that belt!! straight forward repair! If it'd of been a few inches over to the drivers side be a different story!! Enjoy your weekend 👍
One of the nicest ones you guys have had. Proper good profit for you 🤜
another great video guys a lovely car well done Rob and Chris
I had an SQ5 for a while (till it was stolen)😢 It was the best car I ever owned. 3 L twin turbo, 300 HP it was a beast. Boy do I miss that motor…
quite interesting ... fond of standard shift myself... many thanks fellas...
Wot!!!!.no change poor Chris better get a Brink's Matt van as your next project to keep him happy 😁
Looks like this one is going to be nice and easy, would be nice if you could find the bits in the right colour as there are plenty of dark Q5s on the road. Even though it's a manual I don't think you'll have too much trouble selling it, in my experience most Audi buyers prefer a manual. The Porsche Cayman shares this platform, believe it or not I've found Porsche parts cheaper than VW, SEAT & Skoda parts with the same numbers. Keep up the good work and I hope you find the time to go back to 3 videos a week soon, I won't lie this change has messed with my routine!
A lovely straightforward one, can’t wait to see what you paid for it, by the way you’re both so excited it sounds like a steal 👍
It’s amazing how many shared bits there are on the various cars.
Beautiful car guys !! Hopefully quick flip, many vw parts will fit this car it's a posh vw tiguan !!
As always fantastic interesting video!!!
Lovely jubbly! BTW my mate has put some soft stuff on his lift towers to stop doors biffing against them:) Thank you fellas!
Another high end motor Rob, nice one.
Nice one lads another belter, looking forward to it
Hi rob and Chris, great buy it looks a easy job for you guys. Good luck with the wee car, from marty in Belfast northern Ireland God bless
Another great buy, yet I feel for the old owner. No comment or speculation as to why it ended up with you guys, but you have a great one again. Maybe the spanners are groaning in the tool tray from thinking about their share of the work, but that one really does look like a couple of hours with the spanners, a good, full service, a touch of the spray gun, and it should be good to go. Have a good, relaxing weekend.
Great video again guys lovely car you will be chuffed when its done
The new microphones are brilliant! They add so much to the experience.
And it’s great when you get a bit of a bargain.
Plus it can’t be any easier to change the cam belt when the whole of the front end is missing.
I think on some of the Audi RS4s it was a requirement.
😂
Tip for the timing belt kit - go for a genuine kit and water pump and alternator belt and tensioner, they are bad for seizing. The timing be.t kit is about £5 more than a decent aftermarket kit.
Once again, guys are another beauty to work on
Nice smart car. Good to see the washer bottle wasn’t damaged too
Nice straightforward car bit of a polish over bit of paint it’ll look great someone be very pleased to own it
Btw on the golf mk6 2.0tdi vw recommend camblet change at 60k. Cracking work lads! 👏
What a smashing looking motor lads can’t wait for the rebuild crack on
Really liking these new thumbnails, very professional and great branding
Wheel nuts key is in the boot if you lift the cover over the tyre there is another lift lid just further in, the tools should be under there. 🤞
Excellent project guys, and a beautiful vehicle on top of it! That should turn out really nice and bring a nice profit to SRUK in the end. You guys sure can pick em!!
I love that. Living in the US the diesels are very rare. But, my cousin does have one that they have had for years and love it.
Any chance you can show how you go about getting the milage rectified I have the same issue. Cheers lads love the content
I would be interested, when a Porsche Main dealer put the wrong mileage on my 911's MOT, I could only get a letter explaining the mistake, the DVLA would not reissue a certificate showing the correct reading. I also had dated photos taken to prove it was the dealers mistake, although I didn't spot the error for several weeks later. Moral of story - check your certificate before leaving the garage.
Hopefully a easy fix guys top video as always have a good weekend
Can’t get my head round no Monday or Friday will take time to get use to it but still loving the content
👍👍
What a lovely buy well done going to a good one well done so far
Great Buy, Well done.
Hi Rob and Chris, what a nice car,at first the damage didn't look good, but with parts off it runs and drives fine.
Another great buy this will be a lovely car and a great job for you both
Another lovely job lads!!
That bush rash can be nasty
