I'm so happy to see this family out sharing their music again. They really play honest genuine music and are all so talented. I'm not surprised they didn't make as big a splash in the States as one would hope simply because they are real and so good. The industry can't manipuate what the Corrs have. I sure hope they keep sharing with us. I've been a fan for years, bought all of their CD's and love them as is!
This was my first introduction to the corr's...I was so amazed ...and I never listen to instrumentals before, then I saw this on tv....a battle of instruments..I was cheering for the tin whistle coz of its size and limitations...didn't even knew they were siblings then...so after a day that pass can't get it off my mind I searched for them thru Google..just in time they have a live concert ..so I bought the tickets and watched them live...they were more incredible live!!..my disappointment was with my fellow audiences...they turn.the concert into a karaoke night most of the time... Andrea will sing the first verse and when chrous comes audience drones her out..
Hearing this makes my heart yearn for a trip to the auld sod where I can sit in the corner of a small town pub and enjoy a proper Irish session and a night of am maith and good craic!
A joy to see and hear this band perform.Glad they are touring again after taking time out to raise their families. Looking forward to seeing and gearing them in concert.
@@erikm8372yes they are this year...Oct 18 Jakarta, Oct 21, 22 Philippines...Oct 25 to Nov Australia and New Zealand...they just release a new single cover called Little lies
Be aware that this recording is from their 1998 performance at Royal Albert Hall, the "2000" refers to the year the DVD with the performance was released. See MusicBrainz release ID 40c4f3e3-b606-434e-820e-a16a9062a74b 🙂
The first tune, ‘The Carraroe’, is played with the parts reversed, at least amongst most traditional Irish musicians.. but that sounds a bit strange to me. I play fiddle & whistle, and I learned the tune originally from the Corrs - it always sounded more ”complete” their way! The American Irish band _Cherish The Ladies_ also recorded ‘Carraroe’ with the parts reversed, for their album “The Girls Won’t Leave the Boys Alone”. Apparently, that is the “trad” way, but The Corrs’ approach seems to musically make more sense! 😂 The second tune, ‘The Joy of Life’, has many variations & names in Irish music. From ‘The Joy of My Life’ to ‘The Rookery’, but it is more or less a variation of a classic standard, a tune nearly all trad players learn early on, ‘Morrison’s’ jig.
No it's not the song of titanic last comment was nasty the man was only asking a question was it the titanic song hopefully this has answered his question with out ignorance
