I like sue but a lot of her issues seem to be exaggerated or taken to the extreme and probably fabricated. It's like she's always finding herself in some kind of made up life or death dilemma when in reality it's nothing at all.

I could last longer in her world than she could in mine, she is right where she should be. This show is not staged or scripted, she likely talks and bitches at herself when the camera is off. This is what she does. Its not Bear Grylls who goes where the discovery channel decides he will go.
You guys are way off saying she is only worth $500,000. In 2017. That camp cost probably that much when she bought it. She has made a LOT of money from all her TV appearance on several shows which you pointed out. If I was to guess...and I will... I would bet that she is worth over two million. Just a guess.

I always wondered when we would see some of her "guests" at the camp. Watched it regularly while it was on in our area. She was always getting ready for or cleaning up after a bunch of guests, that we never saw any proof existed. Give her credit for her handling of weapons, and the machines on her site. She always exhibited a homeless persons attitude. Hearing about her family situation; I can understand it now. I think the show would have lasted longer if the producer (s) had included some interaction with her guests. And, some of her work as a guide. We tired of watching her push snow and run out of fuel, etc.
The constant crisis situation got old really quick, with us. Speaking for myself and my wife.

It's a "reality" show. Scripted to demonstrate to us in the lower 48 how they can overcome the obstacles of living the Alaska wilderness lifestyle. She may make "a lot" of money in some people's eyes. But, it's expensive to live there. Gasoline is routinely $5/ gallon or more. Groceries are expensive because they are mostly shipped thousands of miles from the lower 48. Nearly everything Sue needs is flown in by airplane. Including the fuel that she sells, and what she uses to run her generators, since she has no electricity from a grid. You largely "do what you have to do" in order to survive. It's not for everyone.

good for her. she seems to do what she likes, make good money at it, and doesn't have to answer to anyone. Like a lot of people, I wish I could be so free, but I couldn't ever leave my wife or my kids. So I live vicariously a bit through her and the other folks on that show when it is on. I don't know what her physical or financial resources really are, but I hope she can build at least one out-camp one one of those far-off mountains.

This lady is doing work that most men can't. I have so much respect for her it almost borders on love. Unfortunately I a couple of years older then this sweet lady, and I have made it a habit to not date younger women. Even though she has the body type I really enjoy. I just hope she continues on being a part of Below Zero.
Do I watch it? Yes I do. Is it scripted? Yes it is. Why does She ask herself questions? Who knows.
She is there asking her self questions , so she can hear what she wants to hear. Not the truth. All her problems is almost caused by her own stupidity. Equipment isn't serviced, like oil and air filters until things over heat or quit. Who goes out with 2 or 3 rounds for their weapon,but a idiot ?
