unsafe fire trap 4 story residential building made out of wood

Review of new residential structure being built in Ottawa, Canada. A recent change in the fire code now allows fire traps like this one to be up to 6 stories high. I recommend you do not live in one of these units. If you do, be sure to listen for the fire alarm, and know where the emergency exits are.

In Australia they can build out of concrete but forget to put steal in it or use poor mixes of Concrete so the buildings start to crumble, and they like to use Aluminum siding that in a fire will melt and create a bigger fire like in London.

You know the worst thing about this, it's not necessarily the wood being used is the type of wood, all the floors are built out of engineered i-Joists instead of conventional lumbar, the engineered beams Yes they are stronger but in a situation like a fire they do not hold up.
