I can't tell you how good of a deal you made there,... I'm guessin' the guy you got it from.... wanted it to have a good home,... I'm 63 yrs. old,... and I grew up on one of those (Jubilee),.... 1953 was Ford's 1st year for the all "valve in head"...."Red Tiger" 4 cylinder engine......change the oil in the air cleaner (oil bath),... and engine oil regularly,... and that tractor will run forever.......... your a young man,.... and I'd be hangin' on to that forever,..... that tractor will never get old,..... no matter what someone will give ya for it,...... KEEP IT..........
I’ve really have grown to like the jubilee, it’s been perfect for the truck farming I’m doing and I use it on my uncles farm to haul hay wagons around. I couldn’t have bought a better tractor. In a later more recent video I started to disassemble the engine to rebuild it. I’m probably going to have another video on the rebuild status here soon. Thanks for the comment i always enjoy hearing other peoples opinion on these old tractors and which ones they grew up with.
I think you got a good deal on a nice tractor. I have a 641, and I grew up with an 8n. They aren’t big tractors, but they were well designed and built, and can still do a lot of work.
I spent my teen years on a 53 jubilee. Great tractor.!!!!! We pulled a 14"two row bottom plow with it and it did well. Great for a hay rake or spredder. Did not work well with a newhollen baler. Just not big enough. We did a lot of work with it. Great video!!!!!!. Learn to shift with out grinding gears if you can.🙂
@@AntiqueIron05 Lucky. I got stuck buying a Jubilee NAA instead of a Golden Jubilee. And it still cost me $700 for one with a trash engine and other main items that are trash (hydro pump, clutch, etc.). It just had perfect sheet metal and brand new back tires.

You will enjoy the ford .
That's a good price!
I just bought the same tractor a few days ago, but it was completely rebuilt, motor, trans and hydraulics and I`m loving it.
Nice tractor!
Good deal I'm looking at a 960 same motor as this how are getting parts for these they used the motor in lots of tractors
You got an incredible deal on the tractor.... that's worth around $8500
I seriously doubt such a value. Quite a stretch even if were restored. But, a very good deal, nonetheless. Love mine, too. Best tractor for cruising!
He got a great deal on his tractor but i’d highly doubt the value you placed on it . 8500 is way high .
Sweeet!
That's the same kind of tractor we have
