Awesome finale and a pretty good season overall, only reason it was so hated was because of the VA drama. Sure it had some misses but so did every other season.
I believe the end scene where Rick runs back to the hole and put Morty’s picture on the wall symbolizes that he just conquered his own biggest fear just like Morty (without the need of jumping in the hole). Morty’s fear was being considered insignificant or forgotten by Rick, and Rick’s fear was Morty not needing Rick anymore to accomplish his goals/live his life
My favorite episode this season is probably this one. This was a very special episode, Rick Prime was never a threat, this had a real threat. The existentialism was on par with Rick Potion #9… this actually might be my favorite episode of all time for me.
@@Burning_the_toast His presence was shoe-horned halfway through, the series would have remained the same with or without him. Rick Prime barely showed up and wasn’t given a lot to do to begin with. Scary Terry had a bigger impact on the show.
Man, I swear if there's a Mid-Season 8 reveal that we're *still* in the hole. I really thought that's where they were going with it, then everyone started aging haha. And that "Oh my god, I became my dad!" joke is straight outta Gravity Falls! There's an episode with a Medusa-type creature where you look into its eyes, and it shows you your worst fears. It looks into its own eyes, and its worst fear is becoming its father!
This episode left me emotionally confused. Love the impact. The happiness monologue of the episode touched me a lot as well: "It needs the most powerful being to be terrified of happiness. Happiness is a trap, it can't last forever. Let's say you meet the love of your life, well it's still gonna end. It's inevitable. Weather by the slow pull of a disease or the shock of loose footing at a hiking trail. Weather it be the corrosion of two personalities that reshape each other until they're incompatible. Happiness always ends"
There are already two stand-alone Rick and Morty anime episodes if you want to react to those. I think they're just turning that into a whole series next year. I really loved this finale, it was subtle but really smart. They knew what we wanted to see, and they pushed the plot forward a little bit more. Next season will probably have Morty being more independent and I love that.
The ending capped off the whole episode perfectly. Morty’s fear is that he’s replaceable, and when Rick pins the photo of morty on the hole wall it confirms that he’s always had that on him, and he’s always cared for that specific c-137 morty like his own grandson that he would’ve had

The finale was insane and the twists blew my mind. The entire season blew my mind. It's my second favorite episode this season, ofc nothing beats the Rick Prime episode we got this season. Edit: Oh and also I loved the sneak peak for the Rick and Morty Anime coming 2024.

Spoiler alert 🚨 Morty trying to shift blame onto Rick thinking he’s afraid of happiness and is most afraid of being happy because happiness is fleeting is gaslighting at its finest. Morty doesn’t ever act like a happy kid and definitely doesn’t place value in being happy. We know that from the toxic Rick & Morty episode and the alien spa treatment. Especially after doing adventures, and asking for his own, that Rick uses to twist the situation and highlight Morty is a bad person at his core, and parallels that with “no good deed goes unpunished” so if he does what he feels is the right thing then he always makes a bigger problem that Rick has to then save him from. But (spoiler redacted) …it’s a one person ride.” 😂😂😂😂 Brilliant. Morty can’t blame Rick for even getting him into that one, he dove right in. Full arc from Rick basically using Morty as a human shield and all the uncertainty, to now a fully evolved rogue cannon that already is most like Rick and definitely can’t be compared to Jerry, that mirror image was too funny! Oh no I’m becoming my Dad. 😮 😂😂😂😂😂 then like DAMN IM STILL IN THE HOLE. 🕳️🤣 I absolutely love this one.
I think 💭 seeing how unhinged Morty is as like a result of all his time he’s spent with Rick instead of only seeing how insane Rick is was great. I hope we see Fearless Morty in the next season, will that be a Morty that finds happiness? Is that even something that Rick or Morty can have?
I realize it not real because rick save diane and if rick got hit by the bomb then their would be no more Rick's because he got hit by the bomb by saving diane
I feel like reacting channels are overhated. After i watch these episodes i have nobody to watch it with or talk about it because im a comp sci major and i commute so its nearly impossible to make friends so its nice to see how other people enjoy the episodes as much as i do. The episode was good. It wasn't bad like half this season. Ep1-3 were mediocre. Ep4-5 were amazing. Ep6-10 were just ok save for episode 8 which was the worst episode in all of rick and morty.

I thought it was just as good as the previous few. Some good, some okay episodes
