Great video/explanation! - for those folks who have more than one event/prints a day, you can also add a DNP WCM Plus Wireless Connect Module, which elimites the need to have a laptop, and will print wirelessly from ipad -> printer via the wcm plus, very affordable than buying a new laptop.

Thanks so much - you are awesome. My wiifibooth shopped printing via my dnp and I spend over 6 hours and still could not figure it out. I listened to your video, used my laptop and was able to print and use lumabooth and software in less than two hours....

Keep up the great content Drew, I find a lot of useful info on the ipad photo booth business from your channel. Hi LumaBooth users, does anyone know how of a good guide or video explaining how to adjust the color profile on a DNP DS40 printer? When I print from my ipad photo booth the people's faces will have red tint even though the image looks normal on the ipad screen.
if you're using a laptop between ipad/printer make sure to download your printer's ICC profile from downloads/drivers page from DNP or whatever brand your printer is.

Think having a laptop, you could use a nuc and let windows auto start the application.

Lightning or USB C cable (via Apple Camera adapter dongle) connected to the print server (Aircast Pro/WCM/Raspberry Pi/Laptop), then another USB cable from the print server device to the printer. Cellular on your iPad would be useful if you're doing live uploads for text and email sharing of images (this has the potential to use lot of data, so you may want to consider other options).
Connect printer to laptop. The laptop needs wifi so use iPad to give laptop wifi. Laptop and iPad work together on same wifi connection. It’s not a wireless printer. Although it appears to be wireless it’s not. The printers being controlled by laptop not the iPad.

Thank you for this video! The only problem I have now is now that I I want 4x6 instead of 2x6 my DNP keeps cutting my photos in two but only when I use LumaBooth. I can’t figure out how to disable it in LumaBooth. My printer settings are disabled. Any advise?

@@hustlewithdrew Hi and yes. It only cuts them in strips when using LumaBooth. If I print from my picture folder on my laptop it comes out 4x6. The 2x6 is disabled on Luma assist, luma booth and my computer. Strange. I have turned my computer off. I’ve reset the printer I guess the next thing I could do is just delete and reinstall LumaBooth app. Hopefully that helps. I didn’t know if there was something else I needed to do or if this has ever happened to you. Update: Snappic prints them in 4x6 but LumaBooth is still cutting them in two strips.

DPN printers lets you print 4x6 and/or 2x6 for the same event, you just need to configure each template basically having two templates

I’m having an issue with my 2x6 cutting in half is there a certain photo paper to use or is it a setting in doing wrong
you need to have your a different template for 4x6 or 2x6 otherwise it will not cut it in half
great video. how can you do both text and print? my mobile hotspot does not does not allow lumabooth to communicate to the assist. i can get it to work on my home network though. any thoughts would be great.
Did you turn off firewall? Should be able to do both
@hustlewithdrew no firewall option on Hotspot. what is interesting is that I can ping the iPad from the computer.
I'm a little confused- does the laptop have to stay set up by the iPad photo booth kiosk, and I have to click it for guests each time? Or is it just initial in-app set up, launch event and then the Lumabooth app will tell the printer to print? Oooor is it set up, leave laptop open/near by, and printer will be alerted? I don't know how to connect all three wire wise. I know y'all do a lot of drop off kiosk events- how do you have people print then?
I personally never do drop off , when there is printing involve.
To anwser your question, You don't have do touch the laptop once it's set up !
I only have an inkjet 😢 before I buy the photo paper, why should I not use it for printing with luma booth?
Inkjet printer will be more expensive for you, compare to dye sub printer

Purchase a portable charger.

No. With that printer it appears the iPads controlling the printing but it’s not. The laptops controlling the printing

yes, use a dongle from the ipad, one cable goes to laptop and power cable goes to ipad for charging

Use your own hotspot primarily and theres as a backup. Some places don’t even have Wi-Fi.

salsa photobooth uses an ipad you can use any software with your ipad, the salsa is just the shell case
How do you control printing costs with unlimited printing? Do you allow unlimited printing up to a certain number?
Unlimited sessions, but not unloaded prints. We say unlimited prints, but that usually means one 4 x 6 per session or two 2 x 6 strips

No. The laptops controlling the printing not the iPad. Although it appears the iPads controlling the printing it’s not. It appears to be a wireless direct printing from IPad to printer but it’s not. That printer doesn’t have wireless stand alone printing.

Depends on how many people take pics. The sheets can be bought on Amazon it comes with ink and 1400 sheets. Make sure the printers compatible with that ink and Amazon has it because I get mine there

This is great and all but LumaBooth Assistant needs to be updated to fix how many copies are made when doing automatic printing. It’s been messed up for over a year now and they won’t fix the problem or offer a solution 😒🙄
