    Matthias Bäcker is professor of oboe at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar and principal oboist of the Camerata Salzburg. Born in Schwerin in 1971, he studied in Berlin and Leipzig, was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and principal oboist with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Mannheim National Theatre and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. As a guest he has played with the Berlin Philharmonic, the State Operas in Munich, Dresden and Hamburg and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Mariss Jansons, Andris Nelssons, Christian Thielemann and Kyrill Petrenko. He is a prizewinner of international oboe competitions and performs worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician.
    Anano Gokieli received first prizes at international competitions, both as a pianist and as a song accompanist. She is a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts and a sought-after chamber music partner and soloist. Personal highlights were performances at the Schubertiade in Hohenems, at the Lucerne Festival, in the Berlin Philharmonic, Wigmore Hall and the Konzerthaus Berlin.

    Both artists superbly render this work. I am impressed with Mathhias physicality. So fluid. Many oboists present stiffly
