I just stumbled on this and so surprised how Gani has grown and matured.
Very impressed about his wisdom, intelligence and even spoken English.
I knew when and why Dr. Faseun started OPC with the backing of the Yoruba elders and how young Gani was made the "operation commander."
This man who was considered uneducated then, had worked on himself especially in history and spoken English and he's as good as a graduate or even someone with masters degree.
Well, Gani you have done well for yourself and a pride to YORUBA nation.
I AGREE 100% WITH ALL HE SAID IN THIS FORUM.

Gani Adams you earn my respect with these perspectives. You echo the voices of many Yorubas and Southerners. Your knowledge and insights are deep. We truly need to look beyond the next election; here is time to restructure the country called Nigeria which the likes of Tinubu are totally averse to because of their self interest. As it is, the political structure, security among other things favour the Northerners regardless of who becomes the presidents, which have to be addressed now, else we go our separate ways and be addressed as differently as a nation. this marriage called Nigeria is irreconcilable and breeds cheating, suspicion, fear of domination of one by another tribe and all, with the contrived constitution concocted to maximise the interest of the few majority in power.
RESTRUCTURE THE COUNTRY NOW BEFORE ELECTION OR THIS INJUSTICE AND IMBALANCE CONTINUES.

    • @happyd8526

To all responding, search your hearts. Are you for selfless leadership or wouldn't you also selfishly enrich yourself if you had access to resources meant for the people? Hypocrisy breeds hypocrisy, fed by hypocrisy. That is the tragedy of the Yoruba people. If we can put aside selfish interests and be united in a betterment for the least of our people, things can happen.

So why have Yoruba not sought their independence? Why are they contented with political crumbs from the poisoned table of Fulani-led Nigeria? Why are afraid and lily-livered towards Yoruba liberation from this colonial imprisonment called Nigeria.
In 1967 when Eastern Nigeria seceded under Ojukwu courageous leadership, it was Yoruba and Awolowo who not only aligned with the Hausa/Fulani but also provided the winning formula that defeated Biafra.
Yoruba of Nigeria is single-handedly responsible for the political dominance of Nigeria --- at least, post-Biafra Nigeria

Important mild stones where reached and all parties were happy and sipped coffee together clicking glasses together, but what happened upon arrival? The north rejected the entire exercise and preferred to roll out their tanks against hapless Easterners who had no option but to fight for what they believed in. Fast forward 5 decades later we are still back to square one. How i wish the west can get it right once and for all. There is God oooohhh!!!!

    My opinion
If they going for restructuring, the following should be considered:
    1. We should go back to 3 Political zones: North, West, and South.
    2. No of State in each zone must be equal that's, if North is having 18 States, South and West states must be 18
    3. No of sit at the Senate building must be equal. If North is having 65 sit then West and South must have 65 sit
    4. The no of Local Government in the North must be equal to other zone.
    5. Each Region should have her own Prime Minister
