This video helped me not over-spend on a larger scanner! I normally paint on 18x24 paper, so I'll have to stitch my scans together, anyway. I'll try to find the video your mentioned from Kathy about stitching scans together. Thank YOU.

I have a lot of black and white documents with a little bit of color in them from highlighting and blue pen. For my purposes a cheap used scanner from eBay worked fine and could still do OK looking art scans. I did though get one with a feeder so I don't have a beard down to my knees when I am done scanning. On a flatbed, 300 sheets can take a long while!

Thank you for this video, it’s hard to find info/reviews on a great scanner that deals with the issues of textured watercolour paper. Having said that, I’m wanting to buy the Epson V600 (I currently have the V370) but have been advised by Epson in Australia that it’s discontinued. Would you guys know if any of the newer Epson models 700, 850 behave similarly in terms scanning watercolours? Cheers

I have a really old epson scanner (2005 lol) and I recently pulled it out thinking I would try to see if it still worked. I didn't have the drivers but Epson still has the ancient scanner's drivers on their site and it still works like a dream lol. It's a tiny bit slow but it goes up pretty high dpi.

Hi there from the UK. I am an artist looking to buy a new scanner after using the same one for over 20 years. I think it has seen better days. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helpful information with us here. I have been looking at the Epson Perfection V600 scanner and was just wondering if the lid can be taken off to enable a large artwork to be placed on the scanner bed? All good wishes, John Twinning, Artist.
