Angel Perez I’ve been a fan of OM&M since the day they uploaded Still YDG’N to youtube in 2011 and their newest album Earth & Sky is the best album they’ve put out since The Flood. The Flood will always be number 1 no matter what but the newest one they have out right now is number 2 for damn sure. Again, that’s coming from a guy who’s been a OM&M since 2011.
i agree about shay but tbh om&m recovered well from his departure this is coming from a guy whos followed these guys since the old AA! days. OM&M will never be the same as they were with Shay but i feel like Aaron was a great fit for them and their new sound is really interesting
I saw these guys during the I'm Alive tour having never listened to them before. This song was already badass and then Waka (my ultimate guilty-pleasure artist) says his line before the breakdown.....................I lost my f#$#ing mind!
omg i saw them on warped too. i was right up against the fence flippin out!!! they were AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i saw them at the camden, NJ show and i yelled "I LOVE YOU AUSTIN!!!!!" and he yelled back, "i love you too". it was magical :)
I'm just going to clear this all up right now: Of Mice & Men was started by screamer Austin Carlile and bassist Jaxin Hall after Carlile was kicked out of Attack Attack!. They recruited guitarist/vocalist Jon Kintz, guitarist Phil Manansala, and drummer Tino Arteaga. Jon was kicked out in favor of Shayley Bourget. Austin was told by his dcotor to not go on tour due to needed heart surgery.
@TurdFurgusonABF Long story short. Austin got kicked out. Jerry came in. Jaxin (Bass) left. Jerry got kicked out. Austin said he'd only come back if they allowed Alan (Guitar) in. So Shayley (Guitar / Vocals) took over bass to bring Austin and Alan in. So now the lineup is: Austin - Screams Shayley - Bass / Vocals Phil - Lead Guitar Alan - Rhythm Guitar Valentino - Drums

Austin started it with Jaxin and Jaxin left to do his clothing line and Austin left because of a heart condition and "He had a few demons he needed to work on" or something like that (I talked to Jerry) and then Austin came back, Shayley moved from guitar to bass because Alan Ashby was more experienced in guitar than bass, and so Alan went to guitar. Sheesh people.

Before his surgery, he and the band had a conflict and they decided to part ways, kick Carlile out, or Carlile left (the real reason was never said). Rousch became the permanent screamer and they recorded one song with him before kicking him out in favor of Carlile. Before Carlile re-joined, Jaxin left to further his career in his clothing line. Carlile was in the process of starting a new band with guitarist Alan Ashby, who was accepted into OM&M, as rhythm guitarist, and Shay took over bass.
I saw OM&M 3 times after shayley had left, but before Austin did. I kind of fell of when they put out restoring force. Their first album and The Flood will remain some of my favorite metalcore albums of all time. I do have to say that Defy is a great album, very characteristically different, but still worth a listen overall.

Of Mice & Men changed it's character when Shayley left, but now since Austin is gone too, it's a totally diffferent band.
