an hour and ten minutes of imagination specifically. surrounded by over 2 solid hours of buying popcorn and driving to and from the theater and waiting in lines and sitting through previews and ad slideshows.

I even bought my niece a copy of The Pagemaster on DVD for Christmas in 2017 on account of the main song, Whatever You Imagine that was sung by Wendy Moten, had a special meaning to me before she was born in the year of the 20th anniversary.
I'm looking for one where a prince or a knight sneaks out of a tower and goes into the forest to meet a small blue creature that has magic and manipulates vines and branches and I think the creature sends him on a quest where he needs to kill a dragon and when he does the dragon turns into gold and fortune however I think the main story is forbidden love between him and some gir.l As for the quest that's just a part of the movie the other parts of the movie I don't remember . I think a normal movie version was made where the ending is them fighting together against people with pitchforks who don't want them to be together and in the movie one of them dies . I've been looking for the cartoon version for years just like with this one . Will you help me ?

I remember this movie very well. I bet my mom still has it on VHS somewhere.
The best part was at the end when he makes it to the exit. Tares his lights off his bike and hits that sweet jump over that construction area on his way home.
Because he got all that courage from his crazy library amnesia hallucinations.
I remember going watching this movie at the cinmea in 1994 in the UK and it only cost £2.00 I then got a large drink (Pepsi max) and large popcorn and that was only £1.20 so a cheap day out all round 👍

I would watch this movie 100 times over as a kid. As an adult I never forgot about this movie and I am waiting, also hoping, that there will be a remake of this movie. I came here thinking about how I never wanted to live the 9 to 5 life for work. I wanted to keep my dreams as I had as a kid. This movie made be believe that one day I can make those dreams come true. Some day, there will be a story about it. I hate my life now but I still hope and have faith that one day what I imagine will come true ❤️🙏😉

I was watching this in my van. My son was mesmerized by his game. He eventually stopped playing and started watching it with me. He didn't even notice. It's so cool that my childhood classics are still captivating children and standing the test of time.😍❤
I swear my brain glitched out. I would have moments where I would suddenly remember specific scenes from this movie. And my mind would feel a certain way..and then the feeling was gone. It was a very similar vibe to having Deja Vu. Then I was left not being sure if the movie actually existed or if it was just in my imagination/dreams. Finally when I was having one of these “brain glitches” I was able to remember enough to google “kid movie library”...and I came across this trailer. This is a surreal feeling. And it’s even crazier cuz then I went to the comments and so many of y’all are also commenting that you are having similar experiences.

I read a couple of the comments and found that I wasn't the only one who dreamed of this movie. There were some scenes that didn't exist in this movie but what stood out the most was the library and the painting on the roof and the waves of paint.

This is so nostalgic for me! This is the movie is one of the most vivid in my memory. I remember being so amazed by how it was cartoon and “real life” as a kid.
They had a storybook as well. I remember carrying the book as a child to the US embassy in Seoul when my dad had to renew my passport. Such a nostalgic memory.

Several scenes from this movie live in my memories. I could never distinguish if it was a movie I watched or a weird dream I had as a toddler.
I watched this movie once when I was maybe 3 or 4 alone at my grandfather's old house in a room that was literally full of books. I always had this memory of me actually living the movie rather than remembering watching it, it was so strange, almost indescribable. When I finally found the movie again I couldn't believe it. It's incredible that so many people had a similar experience with this movie.
I watched this all throughout Elementary school in the media center…this movie definitely hold a special place in my heart 🥰📚🙏🏽

I am a lover of books and I was like 10 when this movie came out! I was so obsessed and in love with this movie. I would beg my mom to take me to the library. It just fueled my reading addiction lol I showed my bf and kids this movie! Never forgotten! The 90s and early 2000s will always be the best!

I really like the true meaning behind this movie. Life is too short to try and predict the outcome of every little thing in your life. Sometimes it's worth it to take risks and enjoy the present moment. The ending of this movie when they sleep in the tree house reminds me of the time I have left with my dog. She is a small pomeranian who is 8 years old so I just want to spend time with her instead of always worrying about the future!

Bringing back so many memories! this movie definitely left an imprint that I won't forget! It's sad that not many people know about this movie because it was rather good.

I couldn't afford satellite tv, so the movie rental shop was my childhood. This was by far my favorite movie, in fact i still have it on VHS. Im proud that as a 2000s kid I grew up like a 90s kid.

I was 5 when this released and I remember watching it a few times and not caring so much for it. As I got to around 10 and rewatched it, I understood it more and accepted it as a favorite. Also helped watching b2tF and Home alone to understand that these characters and voices like whoopy and I believe it’s Connery… I don’t remember who the other book was it might have been malcovich but these were icons of those years and this is truly an iconic family movie that everyone can enjoy.
