"Meanwhile Barca selling their stadium gras"🤡even real Madrid does that and you can buy it outside santiago Bernabeu or in their official site but no let's be ignorant and act cool by saying Barca sells grass
@@alhock it's not Real Madrid's fault that they may (not will) qualify for a home final like Bayern Munich in 2012 or Sporting Lisbon in the 2005 UEFA Cup, they both lost although Feyenoord won a home final in 2002 which was cool.
I mean, I’m a Zenit SPB fan and our stadium Gazprom Arena already have all these features since 2017, and it was designed in the early 2000s; retractable roof and a pitch that gets treated using UV light, can host any tournament, basketball, ice hockey, musical concerts, off course the Bernabué is bigger and more iconic but the features itself isn’t new, more like a way of modernising the stadium and maximise the potential revenue the club can collect. It’s very smart to implement these features, especially since Real Madrid had to add allot of new features to an already existing stadium, whilst ours was built from scratch.
@@apomalachel8787 What the Bernabué is getting is the features that upon being tested in other stadiums have been proven to be beneficial if you can generate more than the running costs which they are already doing. Gazprom Arena, Tottenham Stadium, Wembley to name a few where allot of these features already exist, but Real Madrid as a iconic club add a whole new dimension to it. The only other club apart from Real Madrid that can retract both the pitch and fully enclose the stadium and have multipurpose activities is Zenit, which was designed by a very famous Japanese architect with the World Cup 2018 as the target. The weather in Saint Petersburg can get really bad during winter and the stadium was designed to allow the pitch to be removed and treated whilst also being able to be used during rainy or snowy match days.

Actually, in most modern stadiums it's possible to watch football not getting wet from the rain. It was possible already in the old Bernabéu since decades ago.
@@emi711ra3 To compare a stadium with a team seems a bit odd to me. I guess you mean the rest of laliga stadiums. Well, there are in Spain some new stadiums that for a football match are as good as Bernabéu. And, in my opinion, better looking.
@@PereUbu-pk6iq not really, if you see the level shown this season of other teams you may see a huge difference. Even Barcelona and atlético seems to be far from RM. One, flooded in corruption inside and outside their own institution, and the other, just a team of the “ugly Spain”.

Still a bit worried about the grass on the very edges of the segments. Will the pitch have slightly more or less dense grass on the edges of the segments? In the worst case even noticable holes/"valleys"? That would suck really hard. I hope they have it under control.
This video makes it look like they invented the retractable pitch and roof in Madrid and the Bernabeu is the first stadium in history with a retractable roof and retractable pitch.
He is talking like the Bernabeo would be the first stadium in the world wich could close the roof and host other events because it can lower the pitch The Veltins Arena of Schalke 04 built in 2001 can open and close the roof, can remove the pitch to the outside so the pitch gets real ultraviolet light. Only differnces are the ugly modern look of the Bernabeu, the costs and the capacity of over 80.000 in Madrid and 62.000 in Gelsenkirchen.
