I was weirded and sort of creeped out by the anti-piracy DVD logo(the second one) when I was younger. Anymore, I just get a nostalgic feeling when I see it.
6:55 Honestly, that logo used to scare the hell out of me when I was younger (though, to this day, it's still a little unsettling). It would always appear right after an episode of Morph, and freak me out... which was unfortunate, because it was usually right before bed :/ Also, I love this video 💛! It really should have more views...

I feel attacked. Nostalgia and fear go together like peanut butter and a dog’s tongue. Edit: if you’re curious about some more uncanny synth music and visuals, early Turbo Graphix 16 game card games have you covered. Blazing Lazers, and Sidearms are a very good start. Splatterhouse as well.
@@Nlangkirby135 I'm scared to leave my room at night because I'm afraid I'll encounter the THX logo in the dark kitchen and it'll make me go deaf from the deep note blaring at me at top volume

Okay, does anyone remember the Carlton Productions cinema presentation during the early 2000s? It was similar to the FACT piracy advert but for children who wanted to watch Harry Potter for example and had sensitive ears back then: It's kinda hard to enjoy a film when your cinema experience is almost ruined from the very start! LOUD crashes of the heated Star Brand hitting the screen first and then the premiere trailer presentation halfway through the adverts showing the logo again as if it's saying. "Gotcha, you little twerps!"
VCI still gives me the willies today. I have it on a huge bunch of Thomas the Tank Engine VHS tapes and DVDs I've collected over the years. Not to mention a few Sooty VHS tapes I own have this logo as well.
The Screen Gems logo visuals aren't scary..it's the synth screeching that concludes it. Plus it was usually heard at the end of evening programming, when it's late, you're tired, and you don't want your dental fillings to vibrate.
Btw, the vci last logo in the background is a vcr/vhs tape, and can you try to review the time the BBC recorded on a haunted set, and the entire set was cursed with death and injury

This vid is old but i hope you see this comment. Firstly, good vid. I enjoyed it. 👍🏻 I was born in the mid-ninties. The Video Collection logos unlocked BIG memories for me, wow. BBC logo just feels me with nostalgia, so it might be non-UK who find it creepy?? The Rosie and Jim logo - you said that that logo isn't quite the logo you had in mind. My question is this: was it a cartoonised version of them? If so, you're not delusional, that does exist. It was at the end of the TV version, not the VHS version. It basically morphed them from the "real" version (asin the ragdoll puppets) into a cartoon version of them. Is this what you remember? Lastly, I totally forgot about the "Fact" Copyright campaign. I never understood why they were on official videos because I haven't pirated so likely won't! 😅 In terms of terrorism and pirating videos, that was a thing (or atleast portrayed to be). You giving money to people smuggling videos and DVDs etc were likely linked to organisations that were involved in terrorism. Terrorism became big after 9/11 ofc, so having that "branding" would discourage people from mindlessly buying fake videos and DVDs. This was quite a little nostalia trip. Thank you.

This guy is a legit legend for giving every VCI logo a scare factor
The music in the first BBC logo sounds like the Grim Reaper taking you away to the afterlife.

It’s not the VHS that has the warped audio on the V of Doom, it’s the 16mm film prints that haven’t been kept well after so many years.

“Worthy of a scary logos [sic]”

Most of these are creepy just because of the music let alone the visuals add in a weird or uncomfortable factor
10:01 Fun fact, the music for this video was stolen without permission. Completely true, ended in a lawsuit and everything😂😂
Nah really 😂😂
Me: is sitting around
Also me remembering that this dude is the best at reviewing logos and is funny, "Allow me to reintroduce myself"
