Seeing music, from a loved era, that is being created and complemented with a explanation is unbelievably satisfying. My type of musicology, massive thanks for sharing!
My brain always automatically inserts Evenson Allen shouting OOOIIII OIIIIIIII over the top of this track :) Love that you even got the spin back, great work!
Piano was Roland U20 synth not korg m1 as many thought ! m1 korg piano mid house does not have same vibe energy in my opinion ! I think the pad might be sh 101 or 106 Juno , the bass is again common Roland Juno line yes the MC Duke I'm Ravin break spot on A sample on W30 Roland synth maybe , 2 bad Mice used same drum break in their remix on moving shadow of blame music takes you , the spinback and FX I agree and that's brilliant mate Kicks like a mule number one from tribal base sample yes also Fantastic remake work mate !!!!!! Just m1 piano voice house didn't have the same energy Roland U20 phase house piano is the one, used in sweet harmony, shades of Rhythm , bass selective, Hyper Go Go, let me be your fantasy loads
ahahahah VERY GOOD JOB man. i watched all your videos from trax recreating and i realize that we do not need a lot of things to create a track. Thanks a lot.
Great Work One Of My Favs Back In The Day I Own This On Original Vinyl Too, Any Chane Of Uploading The Project File Please, Have You Ever Deconstructed Liquid - Sweet Harmony Or Felix - Dont You Want Me .
If anyone still checks this I think the hook is made from a tiny slice of the strings from Stand By Me by Ben E King! Can't upload my test of it but try it yourself, it's really close. (And "Stand By Me" -> "Don't Go" is pretty funny if that's where they got it)
Oooooohhhhhh I think you could be onto something... just been playing around and it does sound really close. Not got it to match *perfectly* yet (there's an out of key violin in the bit that jumped out the most), but it's so close that it could be the one. Even sounds close pitched down a la Ellis Dee - Rock To The Max. Loads of other good stabs while scrolling through that section too (And yeah I still check, hahah. Hadn't been on here for a while but it jumped into my head again this evening)
@@BogusNoise I think my reply got moderated out for having a link in it, lol. But I put my best shot at it on vocaroo, 1hJKVeDW3wdF if you can find it there. I used two copies of the sample, one forward for the attack, one backward for the sustain, the duff note is still there but would probably EQ out.
Those Shannon samples... I'm one youngster with sampling and high knowledge of it, but I would have NEVER guessed it was a 'Let The Music Play' sample! I would have ended up digging through those sample packs like Zero-G!
Great work. I think the piano may go like this... Db Sus2 (D# G# C# , its an inversion), Ab (D# G# C also an inversion) F# (C# F# A# another inversion) and then reverse the order back to the first chord. It flows like the original and seems easy enough to accidentally play it on a keyboard (like most of us less than stellar piano players did back in the day). Love this tune, thanks for the recreation.
Cool -- how about posting a version with the corrected piano chords, statenhal? This is a fascinating reverse-engineering video, and will be perfect when you match the piano melody.
I'm not sure but I had a Msg in FB group last year with the same question you said on your video ,from I think it was the producer of "Awesome lll" the person said to me " I didn't use any Vivaldi Sample " meaning the Strings Of The Four Seasons , very interesting as that rave hook was later copied by many , I'm still Searching 😉 just as fan mind you 😆
I think I can help you , with chapter four the Hook Sample ,I know the Audio Origins 😉 let me know if yiu want that Extensive Info it's absolutely Mint 😁
Scots - I read somewhere that it was from a CD that came free with a newspaper, but saw you post elsewhere that it's not Four Seasons. What's the origin?
The piano wouldn't be hard work if there was an Atari 1040st cubase near by. I'm pretty sure most of the rave scene music was all constructed on cubase

Haha was just gonna comment the same thing .. got him shouting "Here we go agaaaain" stuck in my napper lol
i guess I am pretty off topic but does anybody know a good site to watch new series online?

Brilliant
Nice work, excellent rendition, I guess these guys were pushing the boundaries back the?
Interesting as I've had a go with Ableton before now
The M1 piano actually works really well. Very good overall effort with this though!
HELD!!

Great Work ! Do you still have the midi files for the piano chords please ? That would be awesome.
How did you manage to get such clean vocals??
tune sounds great even now....some classic chord progressions must be...
i always thought the whip was Shannon but not the rewind fair play.
how you got the acapella? I need this acapella
what remix did you manage to get the vocals from need them so bad
Is piano the correct pitch? Good job on the ID of samples.
Where can we find the accapella for the vocals?
Remake the 96' dancing divas mix. Personal favourite
Blandy From Dream Frequency.
What about the female accapella?
how did you make the bass n what is the sound
i think the chords might be:
1. D#, G#, C#, D#
2. F, G#, C, D#
3. F#, A#, C#
4. F, G#, C, D#

Why didn´t you show how the vocals and bassline are made (question mark) Great work none the less.
The vocals were lifted from a later remix. The bassline was't really worth showing imo, just a midi pattern with a bass sample.
The piano chords are G# F# or G# Fm F# I think
yrs too late but the chords are: Bbsus4/F Gm7 Ab Gm7
can you send me the vocals pls
Class that mate. I suggest you check out the channel Ravey Stabs - Recreates the stabs from scratch.
Hell yes I know ravey stabs, awesome videos
Good joob, but I found piano midi on google ;)
OldscoolProject so did I but it isn't even close
there is a wrong note in your pianos!
