    Forestry is a man of many talents! I mean, come on…a man that carries his own sewing machine and even knows how to use it!! That’s mighty IMPRESSIVE!! Lol

    Wow! You guys are brave in cutting holes like that. I wouldn't have the guts! Nine degrees outside (even if it's in C) means you're also tough! Thanks for the video!

      Thanks! And yes, the first hole is always the most nerve wracking. Haha. But once it was done then it was easier after that. I've since cut a window in the side door now. :)

      Thank you! It fit really well and I didn’t have to cut any cross beams. I like the small footprint.

      Hey, thank you! Go for it!! It's been working well for me. If you don't need the larger square one, this is a nice trade off in size.

    Nice vid! Like the 80’s synth music at the end. How many times did you hit your head on the bent down factory roof light? That kind of thing is like a magnet to my scalp! 👍🏻

    • @geomigavanlife
      @geomigavanlife  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks so much! I bent that light right off and it just snapped away. Didn't even have to drill out the spot welds. Wish I filmed it.

    So fun watching you guys put these fans and I love both of them. I camp in the Subaru outback so the smaller one would be probably better for my vehicle. 💜🦋💕 Great video and the money shot was perfect. Lol.

      QQQ @geomiga vanlife. Was this fan one of the light also vans?
      Could you ask for Forresty Forest what tripod he was using in this video?? It looked very sturdy but small.

      @@geomigavanlife I'm sealing up my trailer soon, and I will follow your example. extra caulk = no leak, deficient caulk = leak, water damage, mold, etc.

    Thank you so much for posting this! By any chance could you let me know how you installed the plywood? Is it just 1 inch ply and is it only fastened with the screws attaching to the fan or did you use some sort of mounting tape?

    • @geomigavanlife
      @geomigavanlife  Před 3 lety +3

      Hi, thanks for the comment! Yes it is 1/2" marine grade plywood and the screws from the top of the roof go through the vent, through the roof metal and into the plywood. So it then sandwiches the fan and metal and the wood together. There is no tape or glue on the inside, just the butyl tape on the outside you see in the video. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

      @@geomigavanlife Don't blame you, just bustin balls.I got a NV200 myself. I like it but it is slow as s**t. I put up with it for 27 MPG. I will subscribe. :-)

      @geomigavanlife  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the sub and congrats on the NV200! Yes, the mpg is one reason I went with it too. Today I got 32 mpg highway, in the mountains, 30-34 degrees C outside temp with the a/c on. It is phenomenal!!

    Any leaks with the dome fan??...how you like it?

    • @geomigavanlife
      @geomigavanlife  Před rokem +1

      It has survived with no leaks and still going strong!! I like the fan for the size and stealth factor but I do not like how noisy it is. It's loud and either on or off. To mitigate this I bought an attenuator switch that has a rotary knob to dial back the speed. I'm hoping to run it on a very low setting and still get a bit of air flow. Haven't installed it yet, but when I do I'll be posting it on my Instagram account @geomigavanlife

      I did park it inside the garage overnight where it was above freezing, so it just took a longer time to set.
