Ice cream cake is a very special era. It's the start of OT5, they got their first win and they also became much more recognized! Irene mentioned that she feels like this is truly her "debut" since it was the first song with Yeri.
Red Flavor turned Red Velvet into summer queens of Korea and the song became the summer anthem of kpop.

I find that with a lot of kpop groups, you can correctly guess when songs were released. As these groups often follow whatever sound and concept is the most trendy at that moment in time (4th gen kpop is stagnated with groups releasing very similar concepts and sounds) .
But with Red Velvet, they don't follow the trends. Their releases are so unique, it makes it difficult to guess when a certain song was released. Which is why their releases always sound so timeless.
There Comeback is apparently supposed to be an Orchestral...Bach esq theme mixed with Trap. There ability to be the trend and set the blueprint before its time is the magic of RV. Icons! That's why they're considered The Best Idol Group Alive. They're Musicality and Vocals is levels above all others, They're Straight Goddesses. You really should react to " I just " it was shot on a camera phone and its grainy and raw and absolutely incredible the harmonies and vocals will blow you away, you wont be disappointed. Also the magic of Red Velvet not repeating concepts is that even if you look at teasers, the actual MV/music may still be different than expected. So no one really can anticipate what they're gonna do but because they've had such quality releases we can be certain it's of that quality.
Their music, their whole discography, is timeless. Even if they're doing their RED concept, they're still CLASSY & ELEGANT.
We really dont know what we'll get from them in every cb. They'll just surprise us in most unexpected ways. Their cb teasers shows bright vibe and it also has that velvety vibe. I guess it will be a mix of both? But not really sure. I'm super EXCITEEEEEEEEED 😭
Ice cream cake and Automatic were on their first mini album, which was when Yeri was added to the group 💚💜❤💛💙

We give up understanding Red Velvet concepts for their comeback. They do not recycle the same concept so... it will still be a surprise. But theory is according to the teasers, Psycho is connected to their comeback. There is a part of the MV wherein the gurls are making dresses, and it appeared on the recent teasers for Feel my Rhythm. I really think the comeback is a velvet side.
Three great RED SIDE tracks for sure. If you want to react to their VELVET SIDE, a would recommend "Be Natural, Automatic & Peek A Boo" I think these would be more your style.

Anyways, I hope you react to Happiness, Be Natural, and Automatic next, i think watching their MVs by order is important to know their flexibility towards each jump change of concept each era. I hope ypu can react to Wendy and Joy's solo too.Wendy's Like Water mini album have two title track like Irene and Seulgi's monster where it has Naughty and Monster . Like Water have Like Water and When This Rain Stops / Wendy's Rain Stops. In WTRS many reactors cried while reacting because the song is such a healing song, its a masterpiece that relieves you from your burdens. Many artists choose this as their healing song, exanple is NCT's Doyoung.
Wendy also collaborated with John Legend way back in 2019with an underated but so so beautiful song.
