I would say; Gene, "The insufferable, narcissistic blowhard". I give a lot of ground to rockers (with marginal talent) who have issues with a cadre of weaknesses. Gene's weakness is himself. Fun fact: when Paul Stanley showed Gene Simmons the first bit of lyrics for the first time, he was like, "Ooh yeah, yeah, _I wanna give it all to you,_ I know what *that* means!" He was really digging it the way through the next few lines, until he asked "Okay, what's my part?" - *doo doo doo, do-doo, do-doo, doo doo* - "Really? You're kiddin' me".
Gene stopped DEAD in his tracks. He _really_ wanted to strangle Paul at that point. So ultimately, Paul ended up singing the "doo doo doo" part as Gene to this day will not have a bar of it 😂

Not just a hit for Kiss, but this song also was the break-out song for Desmond Child, who wrote the song with Paul Stanley. Because after it became a hit, Desmond Child became a sought after songwriter. In fact, it was when Bon Jovi played opening slots for Kiss in the early eighties, when Jon Bon Jovi asked Paul Stanley if he wanted to write songs together with him. Stanley declined, but told Jon, “I know just the guy!”
So which Bon Jovi tunes did Desmond Child write for the band?
    - You gave love a bad name
    - Bad Medicine
    - Living on a prayer.
And after those songs became big hits, the door was opened and people began to seek out Desmond Child. Scoring him hits for Joan Jett (I hate myself for loving you), Aerosmith (Dude, looks like a lady), Ricky Martin (Livin' la vida loca) among others.

Gene Simmons (the demon)is the face of KISS, Paul Stanley(starchild)is the heart of kiss and criminally underappreciated as a singer songwriter and frontman. The fan favorites are Ace Frehley(space ace or spaceman)on lead guitar and Peter Criss (the catman)on drums. This is the original lineup and by far the favorite lineup. In the 70s they never went anywhere without the makeup and no one knew what they looked like without the makeup(never happen today). In the 80s the makeup came off with a different lineup. In the 90s the original lineup reunited with the makeup back on. The original lineup is no longer there but they are still wearing the makeup. They are the soundtrack to my life

Kiss (often stylized as KIϟϟ) is an American rock band formed in New York City in January 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss. Well known for its members' face paint and stage outfits, the group rose to prominence in the mid-late 1970s with its shocking live performances, which featured fire breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics. The band has gone through several lineup changes, with Stanley and Simmons being the only members to feature in every lineup. The original and best-known lineup consists of Stanley (vocals and rhythm guitar), Simmons (vocals and bass), Frehley (lead guitar and vocals), and Criss (drums and vocals).
With their make-up and costumes, the band members took on the personae of comic book-style characters: the Starchild (Stanley), the Demon (Simmons), the Spaceman or Space Ace (Frehley), and the Catman (Criss). Due to creative differences, Criss had departed the band in 1980, and Frehley in 1982.

Kiss wore no makeup from the late 80's to mid 90's but also during that time they had dropped the drummer Peter Chris and added a guitar player, and as far as I'm concerned they just weren't the same. They got back together for a reunion tour in the late 90's to mid 2000's for the psycho circus tour which was very much anticipated it's sold out a lot kids had millions of fans.

Anton Fig played drums on the Dynasty album and Umasked album. He was the drummer for the band on David Letterman Show and The Late Show with David Letterman. He also played on Ace Frehley’s KISS solo album and some other Ace Frehley albums during the 80’s. This is basically the album the album track you’re hearing. I think the Dynasty Tour was Peter Criss’s last tour with the band until they did the reunion tour and 2 that followed.

This was a different side of Kiss that many fans weren't thrilled about when it was first released. They did a few change ups during the 80's, tweaking their sound and look, trying to stay current and relevant, including losing their makeup for a while. In 96 by overwhelming requests and support of fans, the original members rejoined in full makeup and began awe-inspiring old and new fans alike. All four original members took turns doing lead vocals at times. And Ace Frehly (lead guitar) is still my favorite of the bunch. I always gravitated towards the songs he sang more, and always thought his Kiss Solo LP was the best of the bunch. ✌️

Im sure many of you know the reason Paul wrote this song was a bet he made that a rock band could create a disco song fast and easily. I think he proved it. Even though we all hated it when it came out it ended up being their highest grossing song and now stands the test of time. Gene hated it and almost refused to perform it, yet youd never know it seeing this video. Thats because they are pure professionals.

Gene Simmons (the demon) - lead and backing vocals, bass (1973-present)
