macOS monterey betas
This database will contain download links for macOS 12 full Installer pkg files (InstallAssistant.pkg). This file is the same full installer that you would download directly from the App Store for Intel and Apple Silicon M1 Mac Computers. The InstallAssistant.pkg is stored on Apple's servers and contains the full "Install macOS.app". Once downloaded, all you need to do is install the pkg and the full installer of macOS will be in your applications folder. This change was made when Apple revised the full installer for Big Sur. The InstallAssistant.pkg is not available for Catalina or Mojave.

We can follow these steps with the global release of macOS Monterey 12.0.1 and it works without any issues on Macmini Late 2012. I haven’t seen any crashes so far. Although I do not use 3rd party webcam on my mac mini so I am not sure if Safari will crash if requested for camera access as it’s mentioned in this video in existing issues. Rest looks good, installs without any issues and works flawlessly.

Will these options work if your Mac has become "unsupported" as I just found out from Apple? I have a funny feeling after you would d/l and try to install it would have a pop up and say that the installer cannot proceed since the Mac is. no longer supported.

Do I need to backup all my files and app's on an external drive before doing this Monterey upgrade ? In other words can I do the upgrade right as my Mac sits now with all files/app's on it and not lose anything or will I lose my files if I don't do the backup. ?
Actually I'm more worried about losing my app's than my files. Files are easy to backup on a drive where as app's you have to search for them again and download them back on to your Mac. Which can be a pain in the behind as I have a lot of apps on my Mac.
Thank you! Your site is the only way I can get Monterey after upgrading my 2011 MBP to Sonoma. (bad idea if anyone is attempting, lol) App store and Terminal options don't work anymore, just tells me there's no updates available in system preferences when I go through the app store, and terminal only shows High Sierra or Sonoma. Frustrating for sure. Hoping Monterey has good performance for this laptop, Sonoma seems a bit of a stretch even with 16GB RAM.

Does the Install macOS app require internet connection? I have the full 12gb installer app which I downloaded from ur website. When i try to open it, it says that it needs an internet connection.

Now that Monterey is out, I'm wondering is it worth upgrading to the fully supported big sur (oclp) or going monterey at the cost of losing sip and sbm. Of course I want to have the most recent OS on my mac especially if that translates into better performance over the previous version, but will I run into security issues? And will using a patched kepler gpu driver make the system unstable as it gets updated over time?
I'd appreciate your thoughts on this.

Hello Rohan!! Before any update I always recommend backing up your important files to a usb drive or using Time Machine. One you have a full backup you will be safe just in case disaster happens. Let me know how it goes!

It is literally impossible to upgrade from Catalina on my iMac to Monterey or big sur. I tried downloading the installlers and everything it just doesn’t work and the software update simply doesn’t load in settings
once i get to the end and choose my disk to download it on it just says it can't download. it doesn't mention i need more space because i have lots of space

I get a notification to install MacOS Monterey on my IMac so i started it
First attempt froze at 7 min
So I restarted it
Finally after almost 2 hours the installation was completed
My iMac automatically restarted and what do I see ?
The installation isn’t completed
The notification is still visible in my software update
I also get no message that shows I have the new MacOS Monterey installed

I installed Big Sur via OCLP and I just downloaded Monterey from Software Update, can I upgrade to Monterey without problems even if it's a "patched version" of Big Sur?

Hey guys, I'm getting this error message "No packages were eligible for install. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance" This is an Apple refurbished laptop. Alot of people saying that you need an original internal Apple SSD. Some say change the date and time settings, use safe mode etc. According to settings it says I have an apple ssd. Haven't pop off the led yet to verify as I brought this second hand from someone else. I can tell you this is very fraustrating. Its a massive 12 gb file and takes 3 hours to download only to get an error message at the last second. Still working out to fix, also contacting apple as well.

YES! The Monterey full installer is a universal installer for both Intel and M1 👍

I’ve been having a very hard time updating my M1 Mac Pro to Monterey. Once the download approaches a minute remaining. It’s freezes my Mac and for like a second a pink screen pops up, and reboots my Mac.
Eli, try my InstallAssisstant.pkg download link. See if that will work.
