Starlings in the America's are highly invasive pests. They kill our native birds and take their nests. The population of Bluebirds, woodpeckers, chickadees and many other cavity nesting birds have decreased in my area due to Starlings. In the spring, thousands of starlings flood feeders and eat every last speck of food. Leaving none for other birds. For farmers, Starlings take over livestock barns and breed out of control. As a result they eat all the livestock's food and just waste money. It's not their fault for following their nature but they cause more harm then good. Killing just one could benefit someone or something.
Edit: in Europe where they belong they benefit the ecosystem. If we could we would take every starling in America and put them back in Europe.. however we both know that's impossible

So much more beautiful than the American song birds. It's a shame they are killed.
They may disturb other birds but given enough time native species adapt in response.
The real reason starlings are hated because they gather is massive flocks & poop everywhere. :C
I love to hear them sing, they bring a beautiful song

Why do people really want to kill a starling, its a simple bird, this is only causing less wildlife to exist if you keep hunting wild animals, like whats wrong with a starling

They’re invasive to the United States, they destroy crops and habitat, steal livestock feed, and are aggressive towards native birds. As much as I hate to see animals being killed, hunting them is an effective tool for keeping destructive species under control.
