Just got mine today and man, they look so much better in hand than the pictures. The leather is nice compared to what we’ve been getting. It’s a clean shoe.

Like Chris has said many times who's over at Jordan brand working on some of these retros they love and care for the history of the brand... And a release like this one shows it. I just love how this also has the metallic Jordan 1 feel too
I would give up the letter X even though it’s a cool looking letter. Reason is most of the x sounds can be replaced, so fox could become focks and xylophone could become zylophone. So the general sounds could be preserved even with its removal even though the words will be spelled weird

This is one of those 4’s that will last the year and only need a wipe down. I love the materials.

I love them. Super clean colorway with a nice, dark green. The little sparkle they added was a dope touch and sets that color off nicely. The J4 is my all time favorite silhouette so these are a must for the collection. Love the matching box too.
🔥 You can tell a real sneaker connoisseur from a hype-beast who collects only hyped stuff. Them other shoe-tubers are corny and all regurgitate the same generic info; with the same sponsor’s & endorsements.

Color me excited. Quality materials over everything
These are A1. I’m glad people are sleeping on them because I stand out wearing them. materials construction and comfort are above average almost a premium feel. I’ve always thought the 4’s looked and felt like a kids shoe but these feel and look grown with the attention to detail.
I just got these yesterday in store. They are honestly more comfortable than any other 4 I have ever had on foot! The build on these different.
Same, tried these on and compared to the Military Blues, these feel alot better to wear on feet since the PU midsole is kinda forgiving on these despite its stiffness! Hope the upcoming White Cements will follow the comfort from the reimagined Breds and these!
🔥👍🏼. The oxidized green Air Jordan 14 has a special place in my heart. This is a nice homage to that beautiful cw. Black lace swap would make these 4’s look even more 🔥👍🏼.
The letter I’d get rid of is Z. It’s basically a rotated N. 🙃🤷🏻♂️
i feel like the same reason they put blue dye in detergent is the same reason Nike puts the hint of blue in the whites, to make the illusion that when the shoe ages all the yellows still appear white because of the blue tint
They definitely remind me of the Columbia’s w netting , just oxidized green version very clean.
I agree I prefer the netting but that’s the beautiful thing about the Columbia my 215s are still and I wear them often they’re still sparkling white .

Thank you!!! I been sayin that. I sold my j4 white oreos bc i saw them on foot shortly after they came out and the netting was super yellowed already and it looked horrible. Once i saw how they aged horribly i sold for some profit while the prices were crazy high. But that green gunna make all the difference, also with the lil bit of aged midsole.

As with any Jordan 4/hyped shoe, they get tons of hate initially but then they suddenly "grow" on everyone as we get closer to the release date lol

this is a long shot as you can’t answer everyone, but will you ever do a video series of shoes during Covid that you weren’t able to play in but have tried out maybe since the restrictions have risen? Or just one entire video quickly covering 3 things (fit, traction, cushion) of the shoes.

The interior lining is the same material as they did on the wizards threes which I love.
I still like the Air Jordan 4 Oreo leather panels than the nettings. That's just my preference.

Jodie makes an excellent point with eliminating “J.” The Roman alphabet didn’t have it or a W. I believe two Vs or Us were used to create the W sound (hence the term “double V” in French, and “double U” in English).
Still, W has a lot of use, Hs are silent at times, so are Js, and C and K have similar sounds. As such, I contemplated eliminating the “K”, which is my letter strangely enough, as it is very repetitive. However, upon deeper thought, I settled on X. There simply isn’t enough use for this letter and the others have valuable uses throughout.

I'm getting rid of z. It can be replaced with S, X, or XY in the majority of cases so we wouldn't even miss it.
I really like these. We got these in at work and I like the metallic "nets" and even the partially aged midsole. That forest green hit with metallic is super clean to me. I know soft leather doesn't always mean the best quality but it different to touch. If I wasn't moving, I'd def grab these!
I'd eliminate the letter L so people would have to come up with something else to give people when they beat them in something. Also I'd increase the amount of words starting with the letter X. Just through the letter infront of anything and say its silent to increase its letter usage.
Just bought a pair 5 minutes ago. Love that the heal tab is leather cause sometimes when I wear J4s with shorts and cohort socks and I'm driving the plastic tab digs into my Achilles tendon.
I wore the crap outta those oxidized 14’s back in the day. And come to think of it. The midsole did yellow after time and this may be the reason for that hit of sail on the midsole of these 4’s 🤔
Not a fan of the pre aged sole, probably my only gripe to an otherwise perfect pair of sneakers. As a cs fan I feel it is my obligation to cop any pair of green Jordans 🤣
the only thing that keeps me from getting more 3s and 4s is the midsole paint cracking; feels like a handful of wears and the chipping starts 🙃

Also, these Oxidized Greens is a great Jordan 4 colorway. After the release, I'm already seeing them under retail. I guess many thought these are gonna sold out. 😏😆
I passed on the military blues and got these...love how the green looks when light hits it.

@2:01 Hey Chris! I totally agree with your point, but also wanted to add these Air Jordan 6 black and whites are the “ Reverse Oreos “ the 2010 Oreos had the Carmine Blocking with Black and white.. I think they might be based off that instead of the oreo 4’s.. but would love to still see that in 6’a form also

These are really nice, and if I didn’t already have the Pine Green SB’s and if I hadn’t already bought 20 shoes this year with tons more heat to come, I would have totally gone after these. I think for these, it was just bad timing, otherwise they would’ve probably sold out a few years ago.
Within the last six months, I've gone from owning zero pairs of Air Jordan 4s to two pairs (Bred Reimagined and Military Blue), and this one's gonna be my third. This is an amazing colorway. So wearable, so clean. I think these are a sleeper pair and I hope everyone else thinks so too so that they're easier to cop.
And to answer the question, I'd eliminate Q. We've been getting around that letter just fine with words like "acute" and "cue" for a long time, we'll be alright.
Nitpicky but: I like the plastic wings over the leather but I do like the leather back tab. The J4 Royalty had that build combo and it was awesome! Love the metallic look on these.

These are so sick! They remind me of the White, navy & columbia blue retro 4 from 1999. Hey Chris, I was wondering if there is anywhere to buy Nike a Polyurethane insoles? i don’t really like the thick aftermarket insoles but want to up the comfort. the dreamcell insoles just aren’t it. I just wish they’d implement the jordan iv sb cushioning into everything.
I just learned that the AJ4 that Bug Out wore in Do the right thing was a sample n had perforation holes at the bottom of the tongue instead of net all the way down. They were samples before the OG dropped
X would be the easiest because the sound it makes can easily be replaced by a combination of two other letters or Z for the few words where X is at the start of the word. That's more thought than I should have really put into it but here we are 🤣 The shoes are cool too 😆

I'm totally baffled by the ups and downs in quality and creativity in JB World. It's like sometimes they try and other times they just turn the factory on and something comes out. Stuff like the blue "Flight" script on the tongue is killer attention to detail, and the leather on this pair shows they tried some. Plus, whatever we call it when a shoe's colorway is inspired by a different model's colorway, this gets an A in that. I have a feeling they'll sit on shelves, though. Even though the Jumpman heel logo is canonically correct, that seems to predict easier availability after release date. I don't know that I'd pay $215 for these, but $100 or less, sure.

I cant agree that these came from the 14s. These are an old custom colorway of the 04 classic greens thru & thru. The release dates are almost exactly 20years apart too. I remember wanting to do this to my old pair years ago (like early 2010s) where i saw an ig post of these. A few people dubbed em the money greens. If nike dropped these 1st instead of the sb 4s last year, like swapped the releases, id pick them up. While i dont fw the pre aging on these, that yellow is how the classic greens age, minus the paint chipping

I had the IV retro pluses in "Oreo" color in my last year of college...and can tell you they were AS comfortable as the originals. Way, WAY more comfy than any of the Jordan 4 retros made today...and I've owned 'em all... You could also ball in them as I played intramural hoop in them that year...they were actually really great. a tad heavy for the time, but great...I just didn't like the leather side and top panels...I prefer the net like the originals. All hail the algorithm!

Ehh, they are slightly growing on me, but I really wish they were made more like in a traditional 4 colorblocking. (Fire red/military) I was never a fan of the all leather 4s (except the all white "pures")with the subtle color blocking like these or the recent releases that one was red, another orange, purple, etc..
