- Twee jonge torenvalken vechten middenin een koude, gure winterperiode om een prooi.
Fascinerend is de strijd die wordt gevoerd om de prooi, waarbij het lijkt alsof de valken elkaar doden. Als een van de valken na meer dan 30 minuten strijd zich gewonnen geeft en met zijn laatste kracht verdwijnt is de prijs voor de winnaar. Geen muis zoals gebruikelijk, maar een dikke lijster uit het noorden, de kramsvogel.
Two juvenile falcons are fighting hard during a harse and cold winterperiod to get prey. Really fascinating is this amazing struggle. It looks like the the falcons are killing eachother. After 30 minutes one of the falcons sets off with its last strength. The price is for the winner. No mouse but a large thrush, a Fieldfare from the North!
Congratulations on capturing this unusual scene, and...for keeping the camera rolling 'till the very end! Yes, the 2 young kestrels, possibly siblings, will have been mutually 'friendly' until the day came when they could rend their own food, BUT, who have been squabbling over food ever since they fledged having been quickly forced to fend for themselves.
For sure, almost turned into cannibalism...Nature red in tooth and claw, eh !!?

One was greedy and thought he should eat all food provided by father. Similarly human do this, who attack other nations for food or Oil or gold.

Probably raised by human for “cuteness” until not anymore. Thats why they cant seem to properly hunt but still healthy in juvie, they eat together dont know how to tear off the food or hide it from others when eating means they been fed

Nature is horrible at times
Animals are the worst now fighting each other for the same pray they thought they captured. Humans kill each other everyday. Just watch the news during rubbery and war. I think plants are more kind to each other. Perhaps.
