Need some Blue Bell Natural Bean Vanilla to go with that cobbler.
So good
John Wayne stands no chance next to my favorite Cowboy KENT…
The Duke wind hands down for character and toughness. Kent brings home the blue ribbon for communication, gratuitous satisfaction and comedy not to mention food stuffs. The Duke hammered with his fist to cuffs and a Colt, Kent nails it with a cast iron grip and a Colt wisk
Biggest difference is Kent is an honorable man.
You folks crossed the line. Duke is an American hero. Commie bastards.
I’ve been reading Hollywood history. John Wayne was a dick. He seemed to think he should approve all westerns because he hated anything that wasn’t in the white hat Bs black hat mythology he created.

And he’s real.
Hey Kent, I’m a disabled Army Veteran and recently found your Cowboy Coffee video. It’s the best coffee ever! My wife and I love it and make it often. Thank you so much, God Bless you!
Thank you so much for your service
Woohoo!!! It's Cowboy Kent 🤠 time!
Recipe is great! Personality even better! Thanks, so interesting.
Our pleasure
A Banana Split Cobbler???
That sounds really interesting
So good it is
Yum!!!
God bless you Mr. Rollins and to all our service members, thank you so much and God Bless!
When my boys were in the Boy Scouts, we would often make a peach Dutch oven cobbler for desert, and we used a can of sprite for the liquid. Those were some great cobblers for sure, the boys loved them. I will need to give this one a try for sure
I learned the same trick from another Scout leader. I would just use dry ingredients plus Sprite and they turned out great. We had a young Boy Scout that would make a difference cobbler every night, we couldn’t wait to see what he made for the troop.
Hope everyone enjoys
@wyattwiehr9447 We had one patrol assigned to do one at each campout, and they would come up with some petty good cobblers
My boys learned that in Scouts as well. Then we did a chocolate cherry version with Dr. Pepper for the liquid.
Can you send me or post your peach cobbler recipe? Never heard of soda in it, lol.
Wow! I’ve been making “Wash Day Cobbler” from a news paper recipe I framed to save that my mom cut out on the 4th of July in 1972 (I’m vintage 1966). This is by far the best looking cobbler I have ever seen! My folks gave me your Comfort Food book for my birthday this year and I’ve been hooked ever since (better late than never). Happy Independence Day!
Happy Late Birthday
Happy birthday
Wow that dessert looks incredibly delicious!
1:48 What a legend!! The response is priceless. Love that she call him out on that. : p
After watching this video I think we need to go ahead and acknowledge that the Major is closing in on the Beagle as the main four legger of the show. I like this idea of your recipe, but I might mess it up because I an thinking about putting some yellow Asian mangoes in it. If it doesn't turn out well I will just keep it to myself! Everyone have a safe and fun 4th of July weekend.
Sounds good to me
That's my mama's 3-Cup Cobbler, doubled. ;) She did it with canned peaches and hooooo-boy! It was GOOD. I don't see how we can go wrong making it your way, though, too. :D
Good eating for sure
That's pretty much the same recipe I grew up as well in Kentucky.
One of the best cobblers I ever made as a Boy Scout leader was a peach/ raspberry cobbler. Sweet and a little tangy.
Sounds good
Kent, I really love watching your videos. I wish I would have found them when I was active in Boy Scouts. The meals and desserts you make in a Dutch over make me miss camping and scouts.
I was thinking peaches and raspberries, aka Peach Melba Cobbler. Yum!
No I havent but I now am writting this all down to make next camping trip I learn how to camp cook from watching you and taking notes
Hope you enjoy
That's one mighty tasty looking cobbler there Kent! Well deserving of the cowboy cobbler dance 👍
Wishing you and yours a Happy Independence Day!
Just to let you know, yesterday, the 3ed, I brought a Dutch Oven full of the Banana Split Cobbler to an event, I did put a hand full of blueberries in so I could have the red, white, and blue. You were right, everyone loved it. Thank you! Roger
Fantastic video.
Thanks
I’m going to enter this at the scoutmaster Dutch oven cookoff next week. Thanks for the idea
Hope you enjoy and Good luck
Looks delicious! For anyone who wants to try homemade fruit ice cream with this, here's the easiest recipe I know:
1 lb soft fruit (fresh if it's in season, frozen if it ain't)
1/3 cup matching jam, jelly, or preserves (don't use sugar free for this)
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Puree the fruit and the jam in the blender. If you're using a churn, mix in the cream and churn it till it's nice and thick. If you don't have a churn, you can do something like what Kent described, or you can whip the cream stiff, gently fold in the fruit mixture, and stick it in your freezer till it's firm. That's it!
I've made this successfully with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, peaches, plums, apricots, cherries, and various mixes of them all. I find blueberry is kind of bland with this method, even with extra sugar and lemon juice, though it does work OK as part of a mixed berry ice cream. Happy Independence Day, everyone!
man that looks amazing I need to get me a Dutch Oven now
God bless you all and have a great 4th of July
And God bless you as well
okay i need to try this!
I love the way he says “Marciano charries”. That’s the way my grandma from Oklahoma would talk. She had a variety of words she consistently and unapologetically said her own way. She always said “breakwist” instead of breakfast.
Always look forward to you receipts , watching from GB
Thanks for tuning in
Thank you, Mr. Rollins. You always put a smile on my face when you're talking cooking.
Got a trick for you when you cook in front of an audience. Before hand….Take a banana and a needle and thread. Banana is basically a triangle. Push threaded needle through one side under the skin, repeat until it comes back to original spot…pull the thread through the banana out the original hole…result the banana is sliced. Do this as many times as you want to make small slices. Then get some kid to pull back the skin and surprised everyone….not like you had taken skin off and glued it back. My 9th graders years ago couldn’t believe how my breakfast nanner was sliced….made up all kinds of lies how used magic or power of chemistry physics, etc. Don’t figure many will read this except you or Shannon . Love the videos.
Great tip, thanks for watching
Happy 4th of July too. I would love to eat that, but I can't eat like this any more, but I agree this would be a great way to finish the picnic and grill out. I don't understand how you cook and eat like this a stay so thin. Guess you got better genes that I.
I see a lot of it, but dont eat much
So good to see you and the gang. Have a wonderful 4th & stay safe.
Thanks so much
Oh yummy! 😋
Cowboy Kent you make the best food and goodies!

Kent, you are my Independence Day celebratioon, God Bless America
LOVE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS GOD BLESS YOU BOTH AND THE PUPS
And God bless you
Made one similar for Scouts over the years. My wife said she would try this and she hates bananas. Thank you Kent for all the tips and recipes. We are having a Kent Rollins 4th of July cookout next week.
Kent- Looks great. I’d suggest banana boats in the coals too. Slice interior curve to through to, but not through opposite skin. Bend a bit to open the banana up and fill with a few chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, cinnamon, and regular marshmallows. Wrap in foil, place upright in coals for 5-8 min and enjoy some delicious warm banana pudding spooned right out of the peel.
We have an old video on grilled banana boats
Kent his wife and dogs are awesome! I always feel good after watching!
Here in Australia we call them camp oven's . We use cast ones like you but also spun steel thinner ones . The spun steel ones are very light weight and easy to carry. We put our camp ovens directly on a shovel full of coals. I use a trivet inside to keep the cake tin off the bottom however a roast goes straight in. Best wishes
Thanks for watching
I've heard good things about your camp ovens, but the shipping is just too much. Hope importers start importing soon! Can you recommend a brand?
Delicious cobbler , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Thanks for watching and God bless you
I don't have a dutch oven or any outdoor Bertha but i cook a lot of your recipes in oven or on the stove top and they turn out good. God bless you and your family.
@OfficialCowboyKentRollins
Ok what do I do now
❤ Happy Independence Day to you too! Thank you from my Military Family.
Thanks for finally making this video! It's in your cookbook and I searched youtube for it years ago. But instead of finding your video, I found somebody else's. And surprise, surprise in his video, he claimed he came up with it.... yeah, your exact recipe. When I called him out on it in the comments....just advising he should acknowledge you....he instead deleted the entire video. That spoke volumes about his intent! Glad to have the man himself show how to do it.
Now That's A Treat to this ole country boy...Yum.
At work watching this on my lunch break. Looking at my smoked turkey sandwich and just wanting to throw it as far as I can into the darkness. That cobbler looks real good and I want some
My favorite channel is now my 1year old girls fav….after watching the dancing she’s hooked. Great job. Thanks for sharing
Kent, fancy dancing as usual... but when are you going to let Shannon entertain us with her moves??? (thanks for the free smiles)

An awesome idea!!! Yummy!
Sweet! Something new for dessert this weekend! Thanks You! Y’all stay safe out there. It’ll be 117 in Lake Havasu City AZ.
Hope you enjoy and that is hot
@@CowboyKentRollins Oh for sure! I have 6 kids. If there’s sugar, fruit and ice cream involved they’re in. We make Dutch oven peach cobbler when we go camping that we too with ice cream and crumbled Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. It’s a winner!
Sounds good
Love it😊❤
The Banana Cobble looks delicious, I want to try it. I hope you Kent and Shannon have a good, safe July 4th 2023. May the Lord bless you real good.

And people thought I was crazy for making a strawberry cobbler ( until they ate it) then wanted to make it, I love any kind of cobbler and yours looks sooo good
Thank you Kent and Shannon for sharing this with me !
Hi Kent, I got into cast iron cooking around 3 months ago, when I found a Wagner skillet my grandparents got for their wedding in 53'. Since then, it evolved into buying more skillets, and getting into camp dutch oven cooking.
I am dating a girl who has celiac, and I would love to see some good gluten-free dutch oven recipes! I've made around 8 of yours so far and haven't found a dud, so I’m excited to see what you come up with!
Love making cobblers for my family. Never thought of this recipe. Ty
Talkin' 'bout the cow reminded me of my favorite Dad story. When he was 13 he got tired of the cow hitting him with her swishing tail when he was milking her. Pure genius at 13, he tied a brick to her tail to keep that tail off him. You guessed it. More power in that tail than he figured and he got hit with the swishing brick.
You guys and pups are so wonderful. Thank you.
Kent and Shan, I just love the three books and the Original Seasoning I bought from your website! The photography, the stories, and of course the recipes are excellent. Right now, I'm reading through them for pleasure. Your books will have a prominent place on my kitchen's book shelf, next to my mom's 70 year old Betty Crocker ring binder cookbook - which I still use. I've noticed the Banana Split Cobbler recipe is in the book "Comfort Food the Cowboy Way". Happy Fourth of July! Hope the weather will be dry, sunny and mild down there.
Dude it made me chuckle to think of Kent trying to experiment with watermelon cobbler. He's like some kinda mad scientist lol ❤❤
Wow!!
A home run Kent! Made it tonight and it was fantastic! Thanks for all you do!
That looks DELICIOUS 😋. Definitely going to have to try it.

@@CowboyKentRollins Awesome! Thanks Kent!
You remind me of my papa shug, my mommas dad. She tells me the stories of them growing up on different ranches between TX & NM. I cook your recipes in my apartment kitchen in Conroe, Tx for my 3 kiddos every week! Thanks for keeping the cowboy way Kent, my family loves y’all!
Wow, will have to try this, thank you!
This is a fantastic idea Kent and I've got to make it!! Thank you and Shan for all you do in putting out these wonderful videos. God Bless Y'all!!!!
Now that's good eaten there. Thank you for sharing.
Can't wait to try out this recipe!!
I don't comment here much, so I will take this opportunity to say how much I love your videos -- especially your down-to-earth and folksy personality; I like that you take your cooking seriously, but that you don't take yourself seriously.
This Canadian patriot sends you his best wishes for Independence Day! All the best, my friend.
Can't wait to try it.
