In the latest update, we released our free "Biome-Reader" plugin, simplistic, it is designed for hobbyists and newbies in order to freely use any biomes available, of course, if you are a professional and need the ultimate level of control, continue using Geo-Scatter!
With this update, we also improved our old vegetation collection, precedently called "starter-pack", which used to be bundled with our plugin. Now, it is standalone and free for all.

Hello, I am having trouble adding a plug in.Asset library is connected but I do not find a zip file selected in your video to install in add ons menu even when I tried selecting multiple files from the downloads it doesn't come up as geo scatter on my add ons menu, how do I fix this?

I can't seem to find the way to link the blend file , I keep getting the popup that its missing whilst I've copied into multiple directory's. Any ideas?

i downloaded plant library and such.. got the .blend file that opens and you can see plants.. then for some reason.. no matter how i try to link it.. through preferences to a new file.. the new file never shows the assets in the asset library. (but in the preferences window it shows it is installed as an asset library)

I've followed all the steps but whenever I go into the assets folder in Blender it just says 'Unassigned' ? What am I missing?
Maybe this is a little late but i had the same problem, just double check the path that blender has for the folder, for some reason mine had an extra C:\ and a random underscore at the end. Good luck!

Can someone help me, I tried installing it in blender 4.0 but it gives me an error when installing.
might be an obvious fix but when I import a biome all the textures are stretched (using Blender 3.5)
error is "not surface found" when In Biomes I click any collection to apply

I installed the Plant library and the Biome reader addon yesterday. When I open a biome, everything is imported one after the other but not displayed. I linked the biomes and I can see them in the asset browser too.
If I open the .blend file where the assets are stored and open a biome there, everything is imported and placed on the object I selected at the beginning.
Is there any solution?
Add the path of the folder that contains the blend file into the scatter file paths (Not in the usual file paths of Blender, you have to enter in the addon on preferences).
the Biome Reader addon (the free one) refuses to work without the Geo Scatter (the paid one) 6:38 when i try to add a biome it just says that GeoScatter is missing in my addons, how can i make it work with the BiomeReader, i doubt the addon exists for free only to later on tell us that it wont work unless we buy the premium one first
thank you so much for this resource!!! I downloaded the Plant Library and the asset library is working, except some of the plant assets have black textures along the edges - maybe an issue with UV mapping? Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
I installed Blender 3.6 to use it, because Biome Reader wasn't still updated for newer versions. When I try to scatter a plane using a biome, it loads in but nothing appears on the plane. What am I doing wrong? I followed every step, the plane is selected, biome in on the Systems list but there is no grass anywhere...
Make sure you are using 5.4.2 for blender 4.0+

Edit : ok you answer the question. So I'll have to buy Geoscatter then other add-ons. Big turn off for me, I'll stick with Botaniq which is already fully stacked, thanks!
OP : I already use Botaniq and I'd like to switch to Geoscatter. But it's unclear what I'll be able to do with it straight out of th ebox. Is Geoscatter only a Python script and then I'll have to but some expansive packs if I want to create some deserts or other biomes, or it comes with implemented biomes and the paid ones are just third party add-on? I'm a little confused. I am a pro user, I bought the addon on BlendeMarket. So what should I do now? Should I uninstall the addon and install this new one or just include these new libraries? Is there any difference at all between the pro version and the free version?
Of Hello VRH, "Biome-Reader" is for newbies, and "Geo-Scatter" is for pros. 😉 "Plant-Library" is the newest version of our old library, you can install the new library if you'd like. And, in case you missed it, we rebranded our plugin from "Scatter5" to "Geo-Scatter" 5 months ago, same plugin, just a fancy new name🙂

ScatterPro does not exists anymore, Geo-Scatter is a scattering tool it does not contains any assets

Hi 👋 No biome-reader is for blender 3.3 LTS or above. 3.3LTS is a long term support version, I would highly advise to stick to it

Yes, you can install the legacy assets as well if you'd like, there are more of them, but quality is lower
Hey I just bought a new computer (MacBook Pro just so you know I'm on MacOS), tried to download my Geo Scatter add-on I had on my previous machine, but it seems like it does not work, I don't have any biomes/assets, help me ! Oh and update : I've downloaded the "Plant library" looks great but last time I had all seasons, now there is just autumn ?
as explained in the video, the assets aren't shipped with the products, you can get some packs in www.geoscatter.com/biomes, and install the assets in your blender asset browser, and the biomes scatpack in your plugin Geo-Scatter preferences

silly question , but when i scatter a biomes or object on a plane ,i want to duplicate it with shift d ,however the duplicate plane loose the scattering and is blank , how do you fix that please :)
Geo-Scatter has the multi-surface feature for that, if you use Biome-Reader, duplicate but in edit mode

Hi, this tutorial is very useful for me who is a beginner. I've downloaded Biome Reader but why don't the assets of my trees and forests appear? Is there anything i missed?
Your plane scale is probably too small
you are probably on solid mode,
The plants are too big when dragged from the asset library. I have to scale them down to .1,.1,.1 for each item I add. Is there a global way to set the size?
Your scene scale is probably wrong, ensure that your scene scale is correct, or apply your surface scale
@@bd3d Its a brand new scene. How is the scene scale wrong? I created an ant landscape terrain, at 1.0, 1.0, 1.0 scale. The plants should be smaller than that.

Edit: I figured it out, you have to click the Visit Product Page button. Two buttons is confusing.
I disagree this is very simple to install. If it was simple, you wouldn't have to watch a bunch of videos to figure out the UI, that I can't figure out because your video shows plant library.scatpack, and I have plantlibrary.blend. Clicking Download takes you to a page where you try and sell me more crap I can't figure out, after I paid money. Clicking Download, should download.
