Yes, but in this video, this is not a south Indian style wedding at all. This is a Bhojpuri (Uttar Pradesh & Bihar) style wedding. The lady singing in Bhojpuri and its the same type of songs and wedding we also do in Trinidad. Yes, there was a sizeable portion of south Indians that came to Fiji and Trinidad, but the majority came from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, so the culture from there has the dominance in both of our islands.

The sahenai is south indian..so it has to be a mixed wedding which is very common in Fiji. However, both wedding practices are quite different.. I would.know as I am a Fiji tamilian.

Fijian S have maintained Indian culture -Bharat marriage in Fijian Bharat.. Great people Great Traditions.
I think it's the only place where indentured Indians have fully maintained their language culture n religious practices.
Fiji is a paradise... Fiji Indians n natives Fijians so nice . No caste system we all live happily together. Either Hindu Christian Muslim or Sikh
