Looks really good man‼️‼️‼️
Thank you! I appreciate it!!!! I hope to have it on the road very soon.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Looks good Ryan. Keep the vids coming 🤝
Thank you! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Love that brake kit…. Future ideas for me 💪🏼
Man, the stock parts are plentiful and proven. Good luck with your build!
Nice video! I hope I'm not in for any surprises when I go to put wheels on my truck, this video brought that to my attention. One day I'll bring my transmission to you when I get to that point. I'm hitting it hard so hopefully soon!
That truck is going to be awesome. You let me know on the transmission and we will make it happen!
Wish someone in the Lima area actually knew how to work on these cars. I need help with my mine 😢
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
I have an 86 with a leaking rear axle seal. I'm going to have to replace the drum and shoes as well as the seal, it shouldn't cost me to much more to do the conversion. Good video. Thanks
There is no better time to do the upgrade! I think you will be pleased with how it is going to stop. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Liked and subscribed… I’m building a 1996 impala now. Looking for a cool set of rucci’s like yours
I am changing the wheels up on the car. Every time I settle on a wheel, something else grabs my attention. That Impala is going to look awesome on some big wheels!
There is a new bracket out that will sit the caliper in better for rim offset
Do you happen to have a link on them? I’m trying to finish an 8.5 build for it and would like to try them out.
Nice…..
Thank you! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Man the brakes look good! Sucks about the wheel fitment tho
You are not wrong. If that is all that goes wrong, it'll be alright. I figure I can use the hoops on one of my other clunkers.
Use front 745 li front rotor and space the clapper did the same swap on my car
I need to check that out. They have huge brakes on the front, thank you for the info!
Which year rotors for the 745 li rotors?
BMW front rotors to use on the rear box Chevy?

Good job, but christ wants his shoes back.
I lost it🤣. They always get comments.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
We need an update
I apologize on the delay. Work has taken me away from the box. I will get back on it. Currently looling for a deal in some spoke wheels.
Did you have to replace the master cylinder? Or were you able to use OEM?
I used the OEM master cylinder. It has great pedal and stops solid. Thank you for watching and commenting!!
You should shortend the rear end a lil so you wont loose lip on the wheels Sik build
That is what I am in the process of completing. I bought an 8.5 out of a bubble SS, shortened it two inches on each side. Still going with a custom wheel, but a nice dish. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Hey man nice build. What did u have to do to clear the rear calipers from rubbing against the back face of the rim ?
I ran a 3/4” bolt on spacer to clear the wheels. Going with spoke wheels on the car now, shouldn’t have to run any spacer.
Thank you for watching and commenting
I just bought the same rear setup calipers and rotors. I hope I don’t have to run any wheel spacers
What Rotors are you are using in the rear . Is your wheel bolt pattern 5x5 or 5x4.75
Those rotors were a match set to the calipers. They are 5x4.75
Ok cool I was curious. I’m doing the same conversion as you but my wheel bolt pattern is 5x5 & my wheels are 5x5 & I don’t want to add spacers
I'm planning on going with this conversion since I'm swapping in an 8.5. Did you use front or rear calipers off a camaro?? I tried finding some sort of info but couldn't. As for rotors, are they "stock replacement" rotors for the same gen camaro??
Thank you for watching and commenting!
The calipers and rotors I used were stock take off parts from the rear of a sixth generation Camaro, 2015 and newer. If you have to buy rotors, buy stock replacement rotors for the Camaro. Be sure to have the center hole opened up to slide of your axle hub.
@@formulized94 okay, thank you for the clarification!
Is this a 7.5 or 8.5 rearend?
Do this kit matter on rearend?
In the video it was a 7.5. The brackets work with the car 7.5 or 8.5 rear axles. Building a shortened 8.5 for the car now and swapping brakes to it.
How is the car riding with the original studs? No issues? I put my wheels on and removed them because the studs are deep in there like yours. Any problems? I had a fear of them snapping.
I rode around on them for a couple thousand miles with no issues. I marked them with a sharply pretty heavy, put the wheel on, torqued it and took it back off to check the thread engagement. It had half of the stud engaged.
@@formulized94 Ok it sounds like you're good to go. I have the Artis Booya with a 1984 caprice. I put one on the rear and took it off, I may be ok but I just took it off and put my irocs back on. I ordered longer studs to be on the safe side. I do not race or speed, just cruise but I don't want to assume any risk I guess. Nice setup, I am thinking about changing my rear axle as well.
@@PrimeG2 That is the best thing you could have done. Keep some oil on the threads to keep them from trying to rust up. No harder than they are to install, it will be money and time well spent.
I appreciate you watching and commenting!
@@formulized94 Anytime, keep up the great work!
So what you do about the front brembo setup ?
I have a 1989 Chevrolet caprice classic brougham LS with a 6.2L V8 Gen 5 LT1 with BTR Cam Setup. I’m trying to run brembos all way around so if you could help me out that would be greatly appreciated
I am still working on the fronts right now. There is not much out there for brackets that work with the box spindles. I am very close to having it complete, but I want it 100% before I show the install. Thank you for watching and commenting, I bet your box will fly with that setup!
Seen the links but doesnt say what specific cars and models the rotors are off of. The calipers are off a 14 camaro ss . But unsure of the rotors .
The rotors are from the 2014 Camaro SS as well. The bolt pattern is the same, but remember you will have to open the center hub hole just a little bit for them to slide onto the axle flange .
I am sorry it took so long to reply, I did not see the message. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I’m surprised a 9mm socket removed the bolt. I don’t think it was metric head
I only used metric because my standard 5/16” is well worn and twelve point. The metric was six point and fit better. I have had those cross bolt heads round off, talk about a major pain in the butt.
What are you doing for a parking brake?
I am going to put together an electric setup for it. Basically using a solenoid inline to act like a line lock on a switch.
How deep is the lip on your rear wheel
Six inches on these wheels.
Did you have to ask the for a custom kit? Don’t see the listing specifically for box Chevy on their eBay listings.
This is not a kit that can be ordered. I ordered the brackets and fasteners from one place on eBay, then the calipers and rotors came from another place on eBay. I linked the parts in the description.
I appreciate you watching!
The link you have for the brackets takes you the the eBay sellers store. It does not direct you to the brackets specifically for a 80s caprice. The only ones shown in their store are for 70s caprice and those seem to have an offset compared to the ones you used. That’s why I was asking if it was a custom order on the brackets.
LOOKING TO DO THE SAME UPGRADE BUT UNABLE TO FIND PARTS WITH THE LINK CAn yo help??
Are you needing the brackets or the caliper and rotor set?
@@formulized94 All of them brackets, calipers and rotors. thank for the reply
This is the link to the people that make the brackets.

Will this setup work with gbody
As long as it has the 7.5 or 8.5 inch rear end, it will work just like the box. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Are the wheels 24's?
Yes 24 front and back.
@@formulized94 bet, they look good. I've been debating if I want to do 24 or 26s
What size wheels?
Rears are 24x10 and fronts were 24x9, if I remember correctly.
Did you have to notch the frame for them wheels?
I did not have to modify the frame at all. I did roll the outer fender lips, as the rubbed pulling into my driveway.
Where are you located?
Chattanooga, TN
That does not look good
That’s cool, brother. I can appreciate your opinion. I dig it though. The fronts are being worked on now.
Why doesn't it?
