I played SUNFLOWER earlier this year as a freshman in highschool. Was super difficult and had to spent 4 months staying after school almost every single day to get it as good as possible. I got a 1 at district and state Solo and ensemble with it. Performed it at the percussion concert, and have been told by many people that they cried to my performance. So while Sunflower will probably always be my favorite. We gotta remember that Adam Tan has made 14 masterpieces in his time as a composer.
My college Percussion Ensemble is coming to PASIC, and we all have a common goal to say hi to you. Almost all of us either have played or are currently working on one of your pieces, so we are all super excited! Hope to see you there!
I’m so glad that you think so highly of skyward it is one of my FAVORITE pieces of yours and I agree that it is completely slept on. It always surprises me when I watch it and see that the views are so much lower than some of the other pieces because I think it’s awesome.
damn adam it's interesting how we have such different takes on your works, I'd rank together as one of your best works as well as dream, they're very expressive and well-written. i actually don't care for lotus that much lol :p maybe it's a taste thing
Hi Adam, quick question. I’m looking to purchase a new mallet bag for day use. I need it to be able to carry my music, folders, method books as well as mallets for a variety of instruments (college life eh). Do you have any suggestions? Much appreciation!

I played Lotus, Skyward and Flying Colours for my HSC this year and got nominated for encore 😎 Adam’s music coming in so clutch in year 12
I plan to play Flying Colours this year, and it’s very cool to see that you love it, as the composer, as much as I do!
Im playing it with my boyfriend at our last high school concert in 2 months. Terrified because it needs alot more work but im excited

The slower pieces like "Dream" could use more tremolo on the longer notes.
