They were typical men who loved to tell stories and Were loved by everyone. Yes they loved their drink but I know my uncle worked hard all his life never out of work. So for the people who say they’re scum get ur info first. They all worked bloody hard just old men enjoying the last year’s of their lives.
Tbh to have friends to drink with at the pub sounds alright to me for life at that age. Keep a few hobbies on the side. Keep active. Part of a community, despite how imperfect it may be, that's alright for old age life. I mean it is better than gardening and crippling isolation when your friends and partner dies, keeps you doing things. Alcoholism and cigarettes, who cares, you're of old age and are living a long life anyway. Decadent areas unfortunately exist already and have done so for a good while now, that slippery slope has already been fallen off of. This is just life in parts of the UK and the rest of the world.

that pub in merthyr the Wyndham is a piece of local history u got the proper tough old street fighting pit workers sadley the landlady dragged it into the shit and then sold up but go u local bookshop and look for Malcolm price street fighting and it shows the real heart of the welsh men sadly Malcolm has passed away and badly missed but those r the real hard men of the merthyr valleys rest in peace boys u sadly missed x jane

There was far rougher pubs in Sheffield than Parkway Tavern .. Roman Ridge on flower estate Horse Shoe at shiregreen and Timbertop at shirecliffe to name 3
