I get some nice looks from the ladies now and then and it makes me think I've got game (when I really haven't). Anyway, I can't help but think that others recognize the tune, and maybe enjoy it. Perhaps just as much as I have for all this time. Peace.
I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it in late 1983 and bought the 45 which I still have. Still baffles me that this great number stopped at #30 with all the airplay it got back home. What a great dance number and the melody. As other commenters have stated Jeff hasn't gotten the recognition he deserves. He turns 75 in March 2023 so don't forget happy birthday wishes.
I had all but forgotten about this song when I rediscovered it on an old K-Tel cassette I had from when I was growing up. All the standards of 1983 that still get played were there. And then there was this one. I never realized what a gorgeous song this is. Osborne's voice is simply out of this world, and that cosmopolitan arrangement with the steadily building tempo paired with his vocals make this heads above anything that has come out in the last 20 years. It makes today seem so much sadder that artists like him don't exist anymore. It's all so colorless and bland now.

So underrated. He had a great voice. Grew up listening to this. Almost 50 and still do.
I'll never forget this song. I had the album on cassette and wore the tape out! Whenever it came on in the club the dance floor was packed! Excellent vocals and brilliant composition.
I had the pleasure of catching Jeffrey early in his career when he was laying down classics with LTD and he never fell off and still doesn't get the credit he deserves
He was my guy in the 80's. Love his songs especially this one. Sing.
Excellent song. I wish there were more songs like this. Jeffery Osborne is one of a kind. kudos to him.
It's been my life long dream to be at a club and we all break out into a beautifully choreographed dance. There are so many videos I'd love to see that happen
1983! Mr. Osborne with this song & video presented the sound, style and concept of what an early like me wanted in his future adult *Ol' Head* life. Smoothness, masculinity, women, flyy home, etc. Thank you Mr. Osborne for bringing this to existence.
One of the best shows I have ever seen was Jeffrey Osborne. He wasn’t even the headliner but he outshined! FANTASTIC!
Love the "bridge" in this song.
that's Brian May on guitar. pure magic.
Me too its hyper sexy!
Man my favorite part of the song, but love the whole song m
They don't do bridges in songs no more.
@@angelodavis4069 ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!👊!
Yes sir-damn I'm sounding old but at early 30's I'll still say they don't make shit like this anymore.
+eazyezwife Hell, I am in my mid 40s and will back that statement up until the end! i even tell my kids, their music today will not be played like the 80s music I grew up with they are my age! 80s jams forever!
I'm going to be 25 in 4 months and I couldn't agree with you more!

How is Jeffrey Osborne NOT MENTIONED as one of the Greatest R&B Singers ever?!
I grew up on this music in the 80s -- and my parents played LTD songs 'til the needle on the stereo wore out.
AND, HOLD UP!! Was that GEORGE "DUKEY STICK" DUKE on the Keyboards?!
Oh, YES -- this is going on my PLAYLIST!!
