- OK HERE'S AN ORIGINAL MEME FOR Y'ALL
(those of you who aren't in the animation community, this is NOT the type of meme you're thinking of. animation memes are animations that sync up with music. I know the name is weird lol)
so, this is an animated meme I've been working on for about two weeks. it got scrapped, and then I started it up again. I used the song 'Madeon - Pop Culture'.
When I checked to see if there were any memes with this song when starting it, I was surprised to see there wasn't one. at least, not that I could find. (I think several pages into youtube is deep enough lol)
so I decided to make an original meme, using my character Harlo!
Harlo the Husky Hybrid has really only been seen a couple times, so I decided to use him instead of Benny. I need to practice him more XD
so, if you want to make a meme like this too, go ahead! just credit me somewhere lol.
EDIT: woah dang, apparently a meme came out using the same music a day before I posted this...It was an honest coincidence, as I had started this two weeks before it was posted, and nothing was there at the time. I apologize for any inconvenience! however, this one is still original to this version, as the other one is to their version, as the runtime and movements are not similar. :)

OK GUYS: I did add another Pop Culture meme in the description, BUT I DID NOT ADD IT FOR PEOPLE TO GO DISLIKE. I did not add it because I thought it was copying; heck, how on earth can you copy something when it was made first? I added it because it was posted before mine, so technically THAT one is the ORIGINAL one. that meme was made a day before mine; I just did not know about it. I'm frankly disappointed in how many dislikes it got after I added the link. I NEVER add links for people to do that. and people have told her that her meme is not the original one...YES IT IS. I'm afraid I wasn't clear enough last time, so I want to be PERFECTLY clear this time. I'm sorry I have to say this, but I'm just disappointed in how things were handled. please know that if I add descriptions in scenarios similar to this again, it is NOT for you to go dislike or attack. I don't do that.

Violet Kuran haha no, these questions are great! alright, so question 1: I use ToonBoom Studio 8.1 to animate. it's a GREAT program! it's only like $150 dollars, but there is a student discount on it! question 2: I use three different methods for my backgrounds. sometimes I will draw the backgrounds. usually I draw the backgrounds within toonboom itself, but if I want more detailed backgrounds, I will draw the background in my drawing program, GIMP 2.8, (Watch some speedpaints of mine, and you can become acquainted with the program! :)) and then I will save the image and import it into Toonboom! and sometimes, like this animation here, I just pull an image off the internet and put it in toonboom! (if you want to find backgrounds similar to the once used in this video, look up 'abstract wallpapers HD', they can be quite complex and amazing!) and question 3: this is a question that's better explained visually, but I can do my best to explain it! tweening is an animation technique that is used to make animations appear 'bouncy' by stretching out or squashing the drawing. if you watch this video at .25 speed, you can watch the body stretch out or press in. that is tweening. to do this, in the toonboom program at least. you will need to use layers. on this meme, I only used two layers; one for the head, and one for the body. I do this, so the body moves differently with the head, and somewhat conveys a pop-out effect. for tweening, you will need different layers, so the body stretches, but the head does not. you can use the tweening tool within toonboom to select the body layer, and some arrows will appear. you pull on the arrows, and you will stretch out the body over a number of frames, so when you play it, it makes the body smoothly bounce. I DEEPLY apologize, as this is most certainly not the way to explain this. a lot of people have actually been asking about this, so I plan to make a tutorial on this soon, to actually show people how to do it visually. I hope this helped!! thank you for asking me, and so sorry for the long answer! XD

But yeah, I made my own Pop Culture meme, started it late September and had it sitting around in my video folder for two weeks so I could post that last speedpaint I did (cause it's been in said folder for a month after I made it) and the Engrish Bwudd meme I did caused I finished that one before this one. I keep myself on a 1 video every Tuesday schedule, and I almost never go off of it unless I have to or want to. But like, at the time I got an idea for my video, none of the Pop Culture memes existed, like I even checked before I started on mine, in case their already was. Like I have nothing against you or your video, like your video is bad ass and I love it so IDK why people are saying I'm claiming mine was first when yours was posted longer, and that I stole your idea, when like the only similarities to this are the songs and our videos are video memes :I I'm not bothered with any of the stuff people keep sending me though, cause like, I didn't copy your video and I even said that I didn't realize you made one as well, and all these people are just getting me more views so like whatever, in my case. But like, no I didn't steal from you and I didn't say mines original like "oh yeah you stole from me" but original as in, everything but the song and it being a video meme is 100% me and not intentionally taken from someone else.
