Hi Shane, regarding the “customs fee” discussion: The bulk of the fee isn’t customs but Irish VAT. Ireland’s VAT is 23%, which applies whether the item comes from within or outside the EU. There’s also a 4-5% import tax and an advancement fee for the courier (€20-30). With an EU distributor, you would only avoid the 4-5% import tax and the advancement fee.
In the US, it is not VAT, but sales tax, and they are much lower 6-9%.

I use the terms import/customs tax interchangeably (bad habit). Main point is ordering from sideshow it’s approx 30% on top of item and shipping to get it into the country. Good point about the EU distributor. 👍🏼

@@OneSixthFigureFocus​​⁠​⁠I understood that you complained about the 30%, that’s why my point is that savings with EU distributor will be small (~7%) because most of that 30%, it is VAT (23%) in Ireland.
You should come to Switzerland :) VAT is 8.1%, there are no import tax and if you buy from Sideshow, you are only paying 15-20 USD more than US guys in shipping (there are no courier advancement fees either with FedEx Switzerland). And Sideshow gives USD 25 for every order shipped internationally.

But conclusion, EU clients like you will still buy from HK instead of a EU distributor because most of that 30% will not go away.
So probably it does not make sense to have a EU distributor after all.

I never had no intention of getting any Artisan figures but Scarlett Johansson changed my mind I mean they nailed her likeness to Perfection a young Scarlett Johansson Black Widow I pre-ordered it on the day of the queue system and got the gauntlet it was a pain to get it officially but I succeeded but I found it funny that a few hours later I received an email that it was going to be delayed but I am with you that I'm hoping that when I get it in hand it looks just like the Prototype and I won't have the same problem like we had with the other black widow cuz that would be terrible because it looks so good❤

And her gauntlets came from a deleted scene from The Iron Man movie where she was at Tony Stark's party he was wearing the Iron Man suit she was wearing a leopard skin dress and he put the gauntlet on her to test it out and she blew up an ice sculpture so because of that that's why they gave it to her wearing her outfits
